Mutilations

It's too bad that the company that made Blade of Darkness no longer exists. That was a great game...the graphics were decent, although jumping to a platform and landing with your feet half way through it was a bit odd. We could use more games like it; Rune was pretty good, but the different mutilations that occurred were great, as well as combining different key presses with the attack button to perform different moves was astounding. I have owned the game since it came out in 2001, and it's still a game I just cannot get tired of. Get bored, play Blade of Darkness, cut a goblin or orc in half, be happy. It's the little things....

The Dying RPG

What ever happened to great RPG's? Used to be, an RPG had characters fighting an ultimate evil to stop it from consuming the world, using blades, nice armor, and some characters wielding an array of magic...now, they all involve pointlessly cute little Japanese anime creatures...who wants to play a game with a tiny orange cat with gigantic eyes as the main protagonist armed with a litter box for armor, using a milk bottle as a weapon that has the potential to be leveled up to perform devastating moves and combos? A floundering fish as a club? Forget about it...
