Last night I took my daughter to see The Golden Compass and we were very impressed. I'm sure most of it is because neither one of us has read the book, yet.

But the conversation started up about what our souls would look like if they were animals/Demons (I wasn't very pleased with the term Demons to describe something so intimate and powerful as someones soul, but I didn't write the book. Maybe I will write something that will take this idea along another path). She told me that hers would look like a cat, maybe a hummingbird and a puppy because she's so young and it would shift. Mine she said would be a lion. Very strong, and protecting.

I thought that was really kewl.

I sort of see myself as more of a wolf, cougar or cheetah.
