Well I beat the first Dead Space last week. Was a jolly good time. By the end of the game, the scare factor was mostly gone as I had gotten used to it, so it's nice that Dead Space 2 will focus more on the action because vets will not be too frightened. A friend brought the second game over last night so I got to play the first chapter. A lot harder. Well, I also played 1 above the default difficulty. There are 5 in total, so I started on 3. Graphics are far improved.

My brother was very upset how the laser sights on weapons are no longer dynamic. In the first game, the lasers would stop behind objects that were in the way so it actually looked like a beam of light was shooting across the room. But in the new one, the reticle always stays the same distance from you no matter what and never changes depending on how close the object is.

Also, having to step on enemies for the drop to come out is annoying because it is easy to forget what you have and have not stomped.

Friend should be done with the game today so I'll get to play it soon.
