I sent a ticket to Corsair and told them my son broke his headphones in the same spot where everyone online seems to break theirs. He was carefull with them and he has been using my Astro A40's for 6 months now and they are fine. I got this reply.

Created By: XXXXXX (9/12/2013 3:33 PM) Hello XXXXX,
I apologize for the late reply. Unfortunately the parts are not available separately. In this case I'm afraid you have to buy the whole headset replacement.
Thank you.

I then replied back.

They replied again.

These were bought in December of 2012. I have seen RMA's issued for this same problem . They have a 2 year warranty on them. I said my son broke them because he was taking them off his head when they cracked. I guess they are nitpicking my words I used. If you go to the Corsair forums there are lots of people saying their headsets broke. They have no problem issuing RMA's for them.

Was I wrong to say my son broke them, when in fact they did break while he was using them? Obviously they wouldnt break if they never got used. If someone says they were putting the headphones on and the headphones broke would that be implying that they broke them? I ask the second question because these people stating they broke their headphones are getting RMA's issued to them.

Still love their power supplies and memory just a little upset.

That seems about right to me. 9800 gt is a rebranded 8800 gt. The overclock on the E6600 is helping that score. Here is my AMD X2 5600 everything stock speeds with 2 8800 gts in sli.

3DMark Score10821 3DMarksSM 2.0 Score4544SM 3.0 Score6117CPU Score2096

Here is same rig with a X4 940 cpu upgrade. Stock speeds.

3DMark Score15498 3DMarksSM 2.0 Score6005SM 3.0 Score7476CPU Score4261

Notice the SM 2.0 and 3.0 numbers also went up. Yes 3dmark is cpu biased.

I agree with the other poster about getting the Amd X2 550 Black Edition. I would disagree with the others about the 9800 GT. Great card I would agree, but showing its age. I would know I have 2 8800 GT's in Sli and they are going bye bye next Anyway here is a quick one I came up with off newegg. You could still buy the case u like off Tigerdirect since they are so similiar in price. $619.88 grand total out the door. ( I tried to get close to your $600 you got listed.) Mine is actually $609.88 after rebate but I don't like counting rebates in prices. I would also change your hard drive to a 7200 rpm 32mb drive instead of the 5900 16mb drive you got listed. Anyway you go, good luck.

A little more but alot more power. Sorry guys its time to let the 8800/9800's go.

My specs are AMD Athlon X2 5600, 4gb of ram, 2 8800 Gt's in sli. I can only run Crysis at 1280x1024 high settings with no aa and actually turn 2 of the settings to medium. I bumped it to very high settings for this screenshot and 4x AA at 1280x1024 res and this is the results.

I had one for a little while. I sold my 5900 and was waiting for my 6800 GT to arrive. I overclocked mine also, but I do not remember the speeds. Was able to get more out of it, after adding the fan. I don't think the ram heatsinks did much though. Like another poster said though, it's not really worth it. These cards suck.
