Halo made the xbox into what it is. Halo revolutionized console shooters and online shooters. Also halo is a lot of fun with 4 people at your house (with gears you can only have two). You can customize the map and the game type. You can record clips. Also, vehicles are integrated MUCH better. Halo is just alot of fun and has GIGANTIC hype around it. And you actually have to play smart whe you play against good people. Still number one game on live. The graphics suck compared to gears. I own bothe and say halo is just slightly better, Halo has more to it. Gears has a MUCH better SP but has terrible online. Gears also has a good cover system. In the end they are both extrmely different games but are both fun. I just play halo more.
It is different if you play gears 1 for a while then play Gears two it feels weird. It feels like your heavier and are stuck to the ground. After ten minutes your used to it though.
A war in the near future with better weapons. Not like halo future but a little bit more advanced then Call of Duty 4 (half life kinda). It could be a war between all continets. It would be the war to end all wars for real. Or an alternat euniverse game where the cold war was a real war.
