This thread makes me lol. There's nothing wrong with not liking Mass Effect, but the reasons....oh boy. Mass Effect is to Halo what.....hmmm......Warhammer 20k is to Ridley Scott's Alien. Ie, they both have guns and aliens in them. That doesn't make them even remotely similar. And Star Wars? Well, perhaps thats a bit closer, since it too is something of a "space opera", but still, no.

I for one found ME quite hard to get into, and some parts of it are AWFUL. Like the sniper rifles. And anything involving the Mako. And the inventory system? Dear god, what was up with that? But still, it was an AMAZING game....it really pushed RPGs in general away from crappy JRPG cliches or swords and sworcery rubbish (a la Oblivion) and made them more accesible for the average console gamer (ie, people that like shooty things and explody things. And REALLY like explody shooty things.) With a little alien hanky panky for good measure.

Haven't got ME2 yet, I'm waiting for summer when I'll have time to play it all day every day :D

I only ever played rust once. Never again. Although it can be fun for one on ones. It's the only map small enough for them really.

I actually like sniping though. I love sneaking about popping people with my Barrett....when it goes right. Quite often though I get pwned :(I think the trouble with Afghan is there are a couple of places where a couple of snipers and maybe one other dude with an AR can cover all angles of approach and there's nothing you can do about it. I'm thinking mainly the little pillbox near the field where the B flag is in domination.

The shotguns are really annoying though it's true....they all seem to have far too much range, and there's nothing you can do about them. Short of having a better shotgun.

Although the heartbeat sensor is kinda more distracting than useful sometimes. It's only really handy when attached to a sniper rifle...

Sniper Rifles in general in multiplayer. Especially in MW2. People pulling off head shots and one shot kills on the run or falling through the air is just insane. I'll even watch the replay sometimes and the gun is aimed so far off that there should be 0 chance of the round hitting me let alone killing me. That and the noob tube in within the same game. I used to feel the same way, but actually once you get used to using them yourself they're pretty awesome. I have to agree though some people in MW2 seem almost supernatural with their shooting. Makes me think they're probably cheating. For some reason in MW2 you don't actually need to be dead on to get a kill with a sniper rifle....there's like an area affect....like a long range shotgun or something :P

Agree totally with the noob tube though. It's infuriating. Especially if they use danger close as well.... :evil:
