Didn't realize my CPU was so dated, I mean I can do a full overhaul of my rig if its necessary to max out games. Alright let's assume my budgets just gone up to $600-$700 to include, cpu, mobo, ram and gpu, what is the best CPU/GPU combo for this budget?
hartsickdiscipl
If this were the case most people will tell you to get an i5 3570, a z77 mobo, 8gb of 1600 ram and a 7870 there or there abouts. If you have enough left over a 120gb ssd wouldnt hurt but would be the last thing on the list
I concur.
What about an amd fx-8350? It's cheaper than the 3570 and I've seen it higher on some benchmarks?

So I'm thinking it's time to upgrade my GPU, will I need to do the same with the CPU? I've gotten a bigger monitor and with the new resolution my rigs starting to show its age. If I should just upgrade the GPU can anyone suggest the best video card between $200-$300.
On a side note I've noticed most GPUs now say they use pcie 3.0 does it matter if my mobo only has 2.0?
I've still got my 40gb fat ps3 from around 2008 and it has yet to show any real problems but I'm worried it might YLOD soon or something seeing as how long its been.
Anyone else still have a really old model still working?
Sure the original was a little rough around the edges but the game was really amazing once you got into it. I'm kind of bummed out that there is not going to be a sequel.
I've got a 22 inch LCD acer monitor right now and its served me well for the 4 or so years that I've had it but recently the stand's broken leaving it slightly crooked and I'm a bit annoyed at its lack of HDMI ports. The picture quality seems to be waning a bit with the years as well.
I was wondering if upgrading to a monitor with an LED backlight of similar size would make a big difference in the picture quality? And if so, could I get some reccomendations? Around $100-$200 dollars.
Looking to get back into an MMO, I'm wondering if WoW is worth getting back into now that mists of pandaria is out? I'm just looking for some new fun content as I was getting bored last time around. Also, what about Guild Wars 2? I'm hearing mixed opinions on that.
For those that have played both MoP and Guild Wars 2, which are you enjoying more?
