what you fail to realize is that microsoft says it is only giving you permission to used the disk ,your paying $60 for the PERSMISSION to use the game, if anyone alse wants to play the game you already bought, they have pay again full price before they can use your disk. check it out in gametrailers.com, ridiculous.

Nintendo is going to go for the only demographics that have never failed them, casuals and children.

I have no idea why people think that Nintendo is going to abandon the strategy that the company was founded on.

Jaysonguy

you are about that Jasonguy, however as much as I enjoy Mario and their other IPs, the idea is that Nintendo should engage more with third party developers and entice them to develop games for the new system. the wii has been out for so many years and yet if you are the type that looks for quality AAA titles there are probably not many to choose, on the other hand Sony and Microsoft systems thanks to third party developers, there is a more constant flow of quality games that cater to all demographics.

I think nintendo should team up with sega to bring back some rpg's such an Skies Of arcadia sequel , a new phatasy star online or even Shemune and lunar.

my point is Nintendo should get a good line up of rpgs for their new system, cosidering the lackluster of rpgs on the wii.

and Hopefully some Goodness from Monolith soft I enjoyed the Baten Kaitos series

Zelda OOT is an amazing game, but given the fact that nearly every nintendo gamer has played this game, it is difficult be excited for it. however as a new 3DS owner I am more or less glad to have the choice of being able to play the game if nostalgia kicks in. nintendo should reboot Majoras mask too or even Windwaker on the 3DS.

nohing but baseless opinion by the OP of this thread. interviews with all major developers tells otherwise. plus all the future stuff about ps4/xbox720 makes absolutely no sense.

good flame bait though.

I think people still don't see potential of this interface controller, there are so many way to enhance gameplay which can help in creating a more immersive experience, think of the possibilities people use your imagination, even the developer are amazed by the Wii U gameplay potential and HD capabilities. the OP is right Nintendo finally did it, it is a gift to all gamers.

It seems clear to me we're entering an age of no standards at all. Expect user interfaces to grow in number in the next years... But one thing that will probably become standard for Wii U, and I'm glad it will, is that most of the HUD and menus will get out of the way of the game. Some games are becoming too HUD/menu heavy. Darksiders 2 developer commented on it and I'm glad the Wii U version will feature the menu on the controller, it was ridiculous how much you had to pause in the first Darksiders (specially because, unlike Zelda, you can only equip one item at a time). And look at Skyward Sword's HUD, specially when flying with the bird. There's barely enough screen for the game... That's why I always loved smart solutions to get rid of the HUD or make the menus more integrated to the game, like in Dead Space, but now it seems we have a solution for all games.Wintry_Flutist

My thoughts exactly, hopefully more people will see it this way too, it makes sense!

When has taking your eyes away from your screen while playing a game ever been a good idea?

Litchie

When you get used to it, it won't take more than 2 seconds... Quickly changing weapons in a Zelda game, for example, will go much more fluid this way.

I'd rather have a menu on the TV than a ginormous controller.. But that's just me.

If you take a look at some of the videos from the game floor, the controlled looks to be the perfect size, not too big or too small , plus everyone says the controller is surpringly light. however it all the depends on whos holding it, if it an adult it should be a perfect fit , but if it is a young child, it might seem big in their hands.

if you check out the extended interview with the developers, they talk about many awesome ideas for new forms of gameplay with the new controller. plus whats more immersive than having no icons on screen, all that stuff can placed on your controlled so you can enjoy the view like never before.
