strange, I've had my 60 gb for 5 years, no troubles. but it sounds like the longevity post-refurb is spotty. After all you've been through, I doubt I'd want to chance it.

The Hyper 212 works great with your processor. I can take it to 3.6 easily and have pushed it to 4.0 before she crashes.

I would suggest starting with a DIY kit on a different website, like newegg, and then finding comparable components on the Lithuanian site.

I prefer a good ergo mouse over a gaming mouse, but that's just me.

I think you're going to need more juice than a 300W power supply.

If you're out to overclock the living hell out of your rig, then yes. I would look into it more before you decide to buy.

IMHO, SSDs are not worth it YET. Give it a couple of years, and that 100gb boot drive that cost $220 will be down to $100. I'll upgrade then.

I have the same CPU and I got a gigabyte gtx 560 super over clocked card and they work very well together. They also handle a lot of games at max settings

This would work really well too. According to Tom's Hardware, the GTX 560 ties with the HD6870 for value at that price point.

For $250, you could get a HD 6950, but be mindful of your power supply limits. The 6870 is a solid choice, very well reviewed and perfectly capable of playing any new game at very high settings.
