Did anyone else notice that there is barely any games to choose from this year for the DS? I think my wish list is mainly going to consist of older games that I never bought because I was too hyped up about another game. This year my list consists of all games released before December!!! and it really disappoints me that my choices are being released so early!! My list includes:
Final Fantasy XII (The best on the list and my most wanted) (Released too early)
Contra 4 (Seems good but not sure if it is my **** (Released too early)
Geometry Wars (Its a nice concept and I like the game) (Released a little bit too early)
Orcs and Elves (Looks good but not sure yet) (Released too early)
Ultimate Mortal Kombat (I like the idea and would be fun) (Released too early)
These are the only games that I noticed that seemed to come even close to the holidays and are worth having to open the wrapping paper plus the game security plastic in order to play. There were other games that could have made the list (Mario Party DS) but it/they lacked wi-fi and ruined the game. Most games were released just too early to be considered within the Holiday Range and even the games I listed are pushing it. I was expecting more for this holiday season.
NHL would be sweet, I have been waiting for it since I bought the DS and I actually thought of getting a PSP just because of its sports games. NBA would be great as well and I have been waiting for it just as long. I think we need both and a good Baseball game wouldn't be bad cause the last one sucked.
I think a new resident evil would be sweeet But i think the game the DS is missing is a game like World of Worldcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, Guild Wars, Elder Scrolls, even a DS version of Runescape would be awesome, any kind of game that comes out with that type of gameplay plus wi fi capabilities would be great. I mean the DS has the touch screen so you can easily perform moves with the style of WoW and Guild Wars. The DS needs a game that involves creating your own character, developing skills, fighting style, a choice between different races and classes, plus where you have the chance to battle others with armour and weapons you found that no one else has. The DS needs an MMORPG game that does not go to a separate screen in order to fight. I just think it might be nice.
