Not bad overhaul, great widgets, sleek design, limited adds, I like it, but I'm just throwing this out there...Does anyone else think this new design feels a little like Giant Bomb's website?

Holy crap people.

I watch the daily show, read the opinion section of the newspaper, and more but I don't get nearly as much politically charged debate there as I find here.

It's a game folks, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Sexist or not, that is there choice. If you guys/gals don't like that person design or that person's writing, don't read it (democracy, not theocracy). The upper management will figure it out just fine by the traffic visit for that site portion. Or better yet, find a different site, or start one of your own.

A side note, not to encapsulate all japanese writing for games, but sometimes, on these smaller anime crossovers, it can be spotty at points. Not to mention arc stories. Comes with the territory I suppose.

My point is, just take a breath, observe the persons point of view, take it for what you will, and move on. This isn't a forum for politics, gender perceptions in games, or how violence in make believe alter the perception of reality. These are woeful childish fantasies of not recognizing the pre-existing culture of the industry and how it still exists today.

And for the idealist out there, it will take more than consistent PR to make your ideal become a reality. In this society, it takes capitalism/sales, infrastructure/developers/writers, and a reflective market. You should recognize these factors before pursuing any course for actual revisions.

Games are just games, they are fun, end of story.

This game probably deserves some of the ridicule its gotten. I chuckle a little as well.

You can't sell sex for nearly a decade without some more substance like story or some new main character (shout out to Mortal Kombat for doing the nearly impossible of an epic combat for a fighting game).

Plus the story can seem randomized at times especially with how some story lines seem completely off the wall.

Sex, well, the flapper era of blatant sex appeal has gone the way of the dodo since xbox generation, or am I mistaken? It probably degrades the value rather than enhances it nowadays at least.

So yeah, DOA, with there pervy but brilliant / meticulous designers do deserve stern ridicule for not breaking patterns.

But just as well, before Tekken, before Mortal Kombat, Soul Caliber, even Clay Fighter (shout out anyone?), this game probably has the most fluent fighting mechanics if not the best mechanics (imo of course) and graphically always appeasing. Even the slivers of story can seem rather cool even with the ridiculous story lines, yeah, such as tina or Lei Fay. And for people who had played it since its early days, well the sexuality simply seems like a facade of the past like tomb raiders shorts. Or at most, a shallow layer of benefit to something much more satisfying.

This game will be a good if not great game, (even with some poor marks recently by Team Ninja, Metroid Other M and Ninja Gaiden III) mostly because the mechanics have not changed. Not saying that is solution but it is definitely an advantage to a team who booted their visionary. So, here's hoping to a great game (fingers crossed).
