It's simple and relatively cheap to upgrade pcs as improvements in hardware are developed. I bought xbox 360 and PS3 as it seemed a good idea at the time but I find that keyboard + mouse control much more natural and precise. The consoles are now used for HD and Blu-ray films. Pc games are cheaper too.
