I am buying this OS off eBay, it's original with a certificate, I will use it to do a clear install on my PC, is it good?

I have 2 Hard Drives, The C: Drive has a faulty OS installed on it and I don't use it since a couple of months, the D: Drive has the correct OS and I am currently using it right now, I want to reformat both of the Hard Drives and make a clean install of Windows XP Pro on the C: Drive. How to delete every file from those HD's and make a clean install?

Okay, so I just need to insert the disc and there will be an option just to format the drives and not to install the OS?
