I love horror movies. Well....not the gorey ones like Saw. I'm talking about the ones that are actually clever and don't rely on blood to scare us.
My Top 5 Favorite Horror Movies:
1. Halloween: A true classic that has everything, from the suspense to the brilliant musical score.
2. Pyscho (1960): Black and white film that's Alfred Hitchcock's best ever. It makes you feel like you're in the movie yourself!
3. Black Christmas (1974): Wonderfully crafted, psychological horror. The best thing about it is that you don't see the killer, only body shots! Makes the film more interesting in my opinion.
4. Nightmare On Elm Street (1982): Wes Craven's directing is remarkable. There are many gripping scenes that had me on the edge of my seat. I also liked how Craven developed Freddy Krueger's character. Finally, here's a horror movie villain that I'm actually scared of!
5. The Exorcist (1973): 70's masterpiece. This seems like it could happen in real life, which is not said for many horror movies. That's one of the reasons this movie is so scary. I know one scene in the film was so terrifying that it was engraved in my mind forever.
