I think UMD's could be viable if:

1) Users with a PS3 could connect the PSP to a PS3 and watch off the tv.

2) That it could be outputted onto any deivce which uses USB, such as computer.

3) Cheaper then DVD's.

In this way, UMD's could have more use then just being limited to a PSP, or used on a TV via the Slim.

I have the same problem... i downloaded from the Uk store (im from SA and the Uk store becomes out home store) and the same thing occured.

I cant let it download without doing the download in background option... then id have to leave my PS3 on for the whole night and it was over a gig big... damn.

ok, how quickly does the ps3 overheat?
