I had a problem with a game that would not connect to the game server (ubisoft) and they asked me to try the game on another PS3. I ended up placing my old HDD in the PS3 with a clean install. After I did my game tests I put my original HDD in and I started getting errors when trying to play PSN downloaded games. It claimed my PS3 was not activated but it was. When I deactivated the PS3 it would not let me re-activate it. I solved the problem with a stupid work around. Go to your PSN ID via your pc. Edit you email address to another one, if you don't have one then create one. Then log into the PSN via your PS3. Activate the PS3 or if you never deactivated then simply click the download to reactivate it. It may try to download it again. Just cancel it. Then go to ur original file and play it... Then change your email address back via the XMB account management. It worked for me?
