I'd go with the G7, because they are extremely confortable for right-handed people and the high DPI makes shooting people in FPS games too easy. The adjustable sensitivty is also a great feature that helps out when jumping in tanks in BF2 and things like that. I use my G7 about 8 feet away from the reciever and I don't get any lag at all, so I'd deffinatly go with the G7 if you are far from the reciever like I am.

If it's in the $200-210 range, I'll be a proud new owner of the 8800GT. That's how much my 7900GS cost me 2 years ago, which it's still performing strong, but it doesn't overclock worth a crap anymore. I think it has something to do with Vista.

There's actually a hotfix for this very issue on Nvidia's website. http://www.nvidia.com/object/windows_vista_hotfixes.html

That really helped me out in my Battlefield 2 performance, not to mention some other games.

They are pretty damn silent. It's really loud for the first three seconds when you boot your computer. After that they are dead silient, probably because they don't pull any air. My temps were at 80c with that stupid ass fan on stock clock speed.I recommend a after market cooler. You can get a Artic Cooler Freezer 7 for $20 dollars on Newegg. I hope that helps.

Hi guys, I'm thinking about picking up a 2900Pro instead of a 8800GTS, it has a nicer price and better performance. I only have one issue that is that make it or break it for me. How well does ATI cards deal with overscan? In the past they weren't to great for compensating for overscan, but have they improved since then? I'm sure they have since they have HDMI, but I would really like to make sure before I get a card that's useless to me.

If you are wondering why I need such a feature, my HDTV, which is my only display, has a bit of overscan when hooked up through HDMI/Component ports.

You have two different options to try. 1: Open up the install file for the game, and see if it will give you an uninstall option. 2: Delete the game and remove any registry keys related to it, then run a registry optimizing program to make it tidy (Which you should run anyways). If you have any questions on anything I said here, I'll be glad to help. Also, try Counter-Strike Source, it's a great game and it doesn't take much to run. Another good game to try is Gunz, which you can find the information here www.gunzonline.com. it's a free game, but it's rather entertaining and great for older systems
