This poem is based of the death of Piggy in "The Lord of the Flies" which I wrote in English class in 10 minutes, enjoy.
The Death of Piggy
"Child's play," they thought,
Who would have known?
Nothing, nothing,
Nothing but a game.
Who was to know?
The rock lunged
Thumped, trembling the earth.
Fiercely, falling, tumbling.
It just fell
An accident.
Who would care?
Furiously it smacked him.
A squeal to its death.
His fail mind,
Fragilely, fragmented crustacean's shell,
All,
All crushed.
Its essence trickled
Down to the earth
Feeding the beast?
No,
Feeding mankind.
Who was to know?
No.
We should have known.
We were yet to know.
