Just installed KOTOR on my new computer, updated the game fully and all that. I have the latest drivers too.
When I start up the game and get to the main menu though, there is just a black screen. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I've heard NWN2 is a somewhat bugging game. It runs well on my comp, except there's some sort of error with the graphics of the sky, it is the wrong color and appears lined or tiled. I have all the latest drivers and all that, I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this or knows how to fix my proble
Thanks
Play it- Neverwinter Nights 2 isn't perfect, it has issues with ease of camera control and the graphics aren't spectacular. However, it's a classic rpg in many senses of the word. There is a ton of character interaction, both with NPCs in your party and between your protagonist and others in the world. There's a great deal of dialogue, and it's important. The story is very good, and a primary focus of the game. Combat is important and fun, but does not eclipse plot, interactions, and actual role-playing. It's much more in the vein of the greatest rpgs of all time, like the Fallout series, the Baldur's Gate series, or Planescape: Torment.
Oblivion, however, is a member of the rapidly rising subgenre of action-rpgs, or role-playing games that are usually pretty shallow in plot, dialogue, and character interactions, with a greater focus on combat. Oblivion's story is stock, most of the world is randomly generated, repetitive, and not terribly interesting, the combat is streamlined into a rote click-fest, the quests are terribly boring and most either go-and-fetch, or kill NPC "x", and frankly you don't get to role-play much at all.
Play Neverwinter Nights 2, then, if you like it, go try out Baldur's Gate games, Fallout games, and Planescape: Torment. They're old, but they're vastly superior to the pap espoused as "rpgs" these days. You'll thank me for it.
Half-Life 1 is great; you should still pick it up.
Half-Life 2 has (obviously) better graphics, but also better level design, and a lot more story exposition. I didn't really notice any difference between the weapon sets, but Half-Life 1 had much cooler enemies. Half-Life 1 had a better atmosphere too, by far.
I really love all of these games; each has their own special charms. Choosing was very difficult.
The Elder Scrolls games, to me, were always so wonderful because of the open-ended nature of the gameplay, and because of the beautiful graphics; making the game's viewpoint first-person really allowed you to experience Tamriel. I was not on board for Arena or Daggerfall, as I didn't game then, but Morrowind and Oblivion created many, many fond memories.
The Diablo series was sweet because of how addictive it was leveling your character and getting loot. But at the same time, the game had a plot and an end, which made the aforementioned qualities so much better than there are in a game like Wow. Also, the monastery in Diablo 1 had such a great atmosphere about it and is one of my favorite dungeons ever.
I think the Might & Magic series suffers in this poll because a great game has not been released in it for a long time. Might and Magic VI was amazing, M&M VII was great too, but VIII and IX left a lot to be desired, and the company has disbanded now. The series had a first-person view like TES, but the strength of the story I think made M&M superior. Also, much cooler enemies. I remember slaughtering dragons and robots and those jackal-headed guys in Dragonsand and VARN, and then at the very end of M&M VI when you get laser guns and fight the devils in Sweet Water...classic!
But the Baldur's Gate series wins, hands-down, for my favorite RPG of all time. For one, the story is simply so fantastic, and the other characters are so compelling, that you are completely drawn into Faerun for the duration. Also, the 6-party mechanic is great, it makes combat really, really fun but also strategic (boring combat pops up in RPGs with some frequency, a la TES games in general and NWN). Also, its D&D rules, so how can you lose?
