So I hear the new Street Fighter film, it's about Chun-Li if you don't know, has been getting rather luke-warm reviews. Who in their right mind would ever think this film would even be above average?! C'mon now. Just look at the cast! Where I think exceptions do need to be made when making a film from a book or a videogame, something like Street Fighter you really just need to make an epic martial arts film, plain and simple. Look at the recent (ish) works of Tony Jaa, there are more than enough properly trained martial artists out there who would fit these roles better. Instead Hollywood, yet again, feel the need to try & train proper actors in martial arts. Oh look, they look rubbish on screen, what a surprise.
