What about 2600k? Also which monitor(24+ inch) should I get?
[QUOTE="tequilasunriser"][QUOTE="mitu123"] This guy knows his stuff.=pemperorzhang66I'm just a cheap-ass that tries to squeeze every bit of performance out of a budget. :P If he has a preference to ATI then get 2x6950's for same price as gtx 580. Better performance. But some people don't like 2 cards. Would recommend the 1155 gigabyte ud7 :) helped a friend of mine build his rig with it yesterday. I have no preference and dont want 2 cards. Thanks for the gb suggestion.

The machine works, laser works, no scratches, reads DVDs fine. But if you try a 360 or regular xbox game it just shows a screen that says, "to play this disc put it into an xbox 360," yes i did double check and it was in fact, a 360. Once on the dashboard when you have a disc in the drive, the bottom option that normally says "play (whatever game) instead just says play DVD. I took the machine as far apart as i could so that it still works, (looks kinda neat!) and I have the shell and disc drive cover off so i could watch the laser, and Inoticed that when there is a DVD in the drive the laser automatically searches the whole disc, (moves all the way up and down) but for some reason when there is a game in the drive, the laser does not move at all, just goes straight to the error screen. Also, if you hit a button on the controller while in this error screen the dvd control menu pops up, which is what leads me to believe that the system is just stuck on the wrong format, so can this be reset somewhere somehow? So... for some reason the console is not recognizing that it is in fact supposed to be playing that format, so how can this be fixed? Could changing the disc drive help? or would it just go to the same screen because there is some sort of data corruption to the motherboard? I am looking for some suggestions, obviously there is no warranty on it and I'm trying to see if i can fix it for free. i know the games all work because i have another xbox that they all work on. Ive also heard about, and seen on youtube, a code that can be entered in the system menu to do basically a system reboot, but everyone has a differe bnt code so it must be console specific, anyone know if this code may work, or on how to get it? thanks everyone :) - Jjscribble1320
It's broken send it in...I had the same but cod4 still worked on mine.
