Hell Yeah!!

I went on Xbox live today and I got another friend. GregM accepted my friend request also. You Rock Greg! That makes two editors who accepted my friend requests. It just goes to show that if you try hard enoogh at somethimg you can get results. I sent an email to the hotspot detailing what I have done and here it is.

Hello Rich. My name is Jeff Whitehead from Blackwell, Oklahoma. My Gamespot name is smeff69 and my gamertag is Smeff69.

I recently did an experiment with the Gamespot editors to see if I could get any of them to be my friend on Xbox live. I went on Gamespot.com and found out as many gamertags as I could. I friend requested everyone of them. When that didn't work I emailed them through Gamespot to see if any of them would answer. These are the results that I got.

Jeff- 21852  Jeff knowingly puts his gamertag out for everyone to see. I couldn't ever give him a friend request because his friends list was always full. I did send him messages through Xbox live and Gamespot, but I never got any answer. Come on Jeff delete some fools so I can be your friend instead!

Carrie- 17815  First off I know Carrie isn't a Gamespot editor anymore but I included her anyway. Carrie is another person who puts her gamertag out there for all to see. Her friends list was just like Jeff's always full. I sent her messages on Xbox live and Gamespot, and I actually got a reply. On Xbox live she sent me a reply saying that all the editors friends lists were probably full, which isn't true. Carrie you need to delete some fools too.

Ryan- 18400  Ryan was one of the few people who would be online when I would sign on. He would repeatedly deny my friend requests and I think he actually blocked me out. I also sent him the same messages and I got a reply through Gamespot. He said that he only plays with people he knows in real life and not to take it personal. He was the biggest jerk of them all. He denied me the most out of all the editors. Sorry Ryan I have to take it personal because you denied my friend requests seven or eight times.

Tim Tracy- 2011  Tim denied my friend request three times and also sent me a reply through Xbox Live. He said he only plays with people he knows in real life.

Bob Calayco- 2765  Bob never accepted or denied my friend request so it is still pending. I don't think Bob gets on Xbox live that often because his points haven't changed. I didn't get any replies.

Greg K- 7520  Greg denied my friend request two times and the third one is still pending. I didn't get any replies from him.

Alex Navarro- 345 Alex is the other editor whose friends list is full. He didn't reply to any of my messages. Alex has the lowest amount of points out of everybody. I don't care about points that much, but Alex get with the program man.

Matt Rorie- 1635  Matt never denied or accepted my friend request and it is still pending. He did send me a reply through Gamespot saying he doesn't get on Xbox live that much anymore and he probably won't until texas hold em comes out. Hell yeah Boss Of Boss's.

Brian EK-  5185 Brian was the frist of two Gamespot editors who actually accepted my friend request. I'm not much of a sports game fan but I'm glad to have him as my friend. Brian You Rock!

Greg M-  1270  Greg was the other Gamespot editor who was nice enough to accept my friend request. I am glad to have him as my friend and look forward to some multiplayer with him. Greg You Rock!

Rich I know that you personally only play with people you know. I thought that was how it was going to be with every editor but I was wrong. So the experiment worked. I actually got two Gamespot editors to be my friends which is awesome. All the people at Gamespot do an outstanding job everyday and it's what keeps me coming back everyday. You have the best website on the internet. Keep up the good work!

,Jeff Whitehead

Success!!

I emailed the Gamespot editors through Gamespot and I actually got some replies. Brad sent me a reply saying he only has people on his list he knows in real life. Ryan sent me a reply saying he wasn't currently accepting friend requests and not to take it personally. BobC sent me a reply saying that most editors only have friends they know in real life. He also said he wasn't a Gamespot editor anymore. I had forgotten that he had left Gamespot to work for Blizzard I think. It would be great if Carrie and Bob (both former Gamespot editors) accepted my friend request because then I could say " Those Gamespot editors are jerks but the former editors are awesome".

I went on Xbox live today and I got two replies from Carrie and Tim Tracy. Carrie said that all the editors friends lists were probably full. That isn't true because it won't even let you send a friend request if their list is full. I sent her a reply back telling her this. Tim said that he only plays with people he knows which seems to be what all the editors do. All except one editor. Brian Ekberg is the only person who has accepted my friend request. He is now the coolest editor at Gamespot, way cooler than the rest. All Hail Brain Ekberg!

No friends yet.

Well no Gamespot editors have made me their friend yet. I'm beginning to think none of them will. I know some of them have been getting on-line because their points have changed.  I'm  going to try and email them through Gamespot and see if that works. Stay tuned and we'll see what happens.
