[QUOTE="smilingjack677"] that's only because of the mmo expansion packs (which, if not stand-alone, aren't even possible on consoles if im right)Danm_999
Expansion packs listed there have more content than any console game (find me a game with the same amount of content as WOTLK or TBC on consoles).
and episodic content such as sam & max. and besides, no aaaasmilingjack677
So one AAAAE is worth 8 AAAEs and 59 AAEs the PC has over the PS3? Pure desperation.

it doesn't matter; the content is boring. plus two consoles are cheaper than one pc, so there.

[QUOTE="Mckenna1845"][QUOTE="smilingjack677"][QUOTE="Mckenna1845"]

i have no problems with my first build which i got it in 2007. i actually expected to run into more problems then i have, it's to be expected to have problems with old games that ran on older operating systems.

all the new games i ahve tried have worked flawlessly, and even system shock 2 installed perfectly (and plays perfectly... so far) including the enhancement mods for it.

While you will never beat the build of consoles such as the snes or wii where build quality is fantastic, you have a much higher chance of your ps2 or 360 breaking then a pc.

As for the games argument the pc has more aaa exclusives than all the consoles combined here on gamespot, and superior multiplats (mostly). Not to mention great rpgs like the witcher and fps games like stalker and crysis.

a lot of those games are old. how about comparing those pc's games that were released within a console's timeline. besides, both consoles have backwards compatibility, so if you include the xbox and ps2 games the gap would shorten.

click the link in my sig, it shows only games from 2005 (360's release) and it still beats all consoles combined.

I completely disagree. The PC is a wonderful gaming platform, it's just more complicated than most other consoles. And a well built PC can last much longer than a lot of consoles. (RROD anyone?) And the PC *does* have more sophisticated games, compare Halo Wars to Sins of a Solar Empire, or try to imagine playing World of Warcraft on a Wii.

Phantom_--
more buttons to press doesn't equal more spohisticated.

the super nintendo is an old console.

I still have mine in perfect working condition, and I bought it second hand. And I've never had trouble with my PCs. Maybe it's because I don't treat my things badly.

that was quite a long time ago. a very long time ago.

[QUOTE="smilingjack677"]there a lot of good games on pc yes, but the tech is very unstable. i constantly have to deal with my pc dying on me. my super nintendo would still work right now if i found it and just bought new controllers, because i broke the other one a long time ago. conversely, i had problems with my pc's ever since i started gaming. what happens when your pc hardware gets corrupted? you go look at a tech support forum for a thousand possible reasons. what happens if your console gets damaged? you send it back to customer support. ------- i really can't understand why ppl say that the pc has more sophisticated games either. all the good rpgs and fps that aren't ancient can be found on consoles too. unfortunately, im stuck with a scrap of metal that turns on me every year. where are the times when you just popped in the cd/disk and played instead of testing your hardware's overclocking limit and performance improvement? man, what a letdown. Killfox
Have been building and maintaning computer for 6 years now. No problems yet. Keep trying though.

nothing whatsoever? define 'maintaining'.

An official response to rumours by Remedy:

"Thank you for your continued interest in Alan Wake. It is accurate that we are currently working exclusively on the Xbox360 version of Alan Wake. PC plans are currently open, and therefore it's safe to say that at least a simultaneous launch with the Xbox version will not happen at this late stage. Remedy has a deep heritage in PC gaming and would love to see a PC version available to its PC followers, ultimately however this decision lies with our publisher."

Link.

Translation: you can forget about it.

Microsoft in its quest of supporting PC gaming continues!

Good. Every since the game got consolized it looks like crap. Now we will never know how epic this game could have actually been if they stuck with their original plan. Well atleast we know project Offset isnt getting consolized since intel bought them out. Yeah for intel, boo for Remedy.

yeah, every game on consoles sucks, obviously. what does 'consolization' even mean to you? the pc loses another exclusive and all that hermits do is tighten the belt around the waist of elitism? get a grip, we're losing games every month and all you can do is make one snide remare against consoles? >_>
