They are both fine. Pick the one you want - that 3 year model on the liyama may be more important. Either way when you do buy it get the drivers off the manufacturer's website or windows update and then calibrate the monitor; just type in calibrate in the start menu.

Thanks for replying so fast btw, also do you mean the 3 year warranty? Only thing putting me off it, is the reviewer said some magazines reported leakage :S, dnt know what thats all about lol :S. Is that the calibration with the gamma and what not? Thx again :)

Leakage would be backlight leakage depending on the viewing angle, I don't think it would be a big deal. The liyama has a 3 year warranty, not sure about the BenQ, so the choice is up to you. Calibration involves gamma, yes, and Windows 7 will walk you through it so to speak.

I see, well to be honest im not sure if that calibration is going to be effective, but i'll probably give it ago anyway (i just tried it now xD), anyways cheers for helping, appreciate that.

The liyami range is good too, and ignore the response time. You won't see any blur/smearing.

Thanks desertpython and avenger for your feedback, i've been looking at overclockers and amazon actually, and the BenQ models definitely caught my eye. Now amazon is really confusing, it seems like they cannot get the specs right, for example desertpython that link shows on description 2 ms, but in the details say it is 5ms? lol, anyway cheers guys, also what do you think about the Iiyami range? Are they good?

Theres so many to choose from its kinda confusing. Basically i want a 22" lcd monitor for my pc, i want it full hd (1920x1080) and 2 ms response time. Also no more than £140 please. If you could find me a decent one from a uk site that would be great ^^

I guess that would depend on what you use your PC for. If (like me) you game and watch movies at your desk a lot, say, more than you do on your couch, I'd say it'd be worth the loss of 5" of viewing. The monitor gets my vote as well.Nikojin
Yea thats a good point, its just i was selling it to my mate but he is already getting a tv for christmas, so im not sure what to do. The lower res means i'll be able to max out anything if i upgrade my gpu though

Would you keep a 27" lcd tv, with 1360x768 res or sell it for a smaller 22" lcd monitor that has 1920x1080 res (so full hd)?

You should be able to run a 6850, 6870, or GTX 460 1GB with that, since it looks like it has plenty of amperage on the 12-volt rails. The 6870 and GTX 460 use 2 6-pin PCI-E power plugs, but I wouldn't be too worried about it. Both cards use just over 150 watts of power (6850 uses 127 or something). The PCI-Express slot can supply 75 watts to the card by itself, and each 6-pin connector can supply 75 watts. So with a card that only uses 151-160 watts of power, you almost have enough juice just from the PCI-E slot and the 1st 6-pin. You should be fine using a molex adapter for the 2nd 6-pin, since it will barely see any load at all.

Thanks very much for the reply, and reassurance lol :P. So even if i overclock say the gtx 460, i should still be fine? I mean i cant imagine that my 650watt psu wont be able to run pretty much any single gpu?

Yes you will be fine

Awesome xD

What is the exact make and model of your PSU?

Both the 6850 and GTX 460 1GB are fully capable of running today's games at 1920x1080.

hartsickdiscipl

Here is my psu along with all the details- http://www.aone.co.uk/ProdInfo.ASP?ProductID=2460 it should be fine, strangely it only came with 1x 6 pin, but i have free'd up 2 molex connectors by using a molex splitter for my pc fans. So basically i can use one of the 6 pin connections and a molex adapter, im just not sure if thats a good idea or not.
