[QUOTE="millerlight89"]How is it a scam when it's free?markop2003The vast majority of these tuning apps are ridlled with trojans. Also let this thread die it's over a year old. Wrong, many of them are safe to use.

Thanks for replying, i dont have a crossfire mobo, and it is a steep price. The only thing is, as my mobo only has 1 pci/e connector i think it would be safer to use that card, although how would it perform at full hd res 1920x1080 (or w/e the full hd res is)?[QUOTE="sn4k3_64"][QUOTE="hartsickdiscipl"]
The 6850 and 460 1GB are both great choices. Flip a coin, really.
The advantages of the 460 are that it's almost guaranteed to hit over 800mhz (some much higher) if you overclock with stock voltage (which gets you into 6870/gtx 470 territory), it supports Physx and 3d vision, better folding@home performance.
The 6850 uses less power (1 6-pin connector), and if you get 2 in Crossfire the scaling is amazing.

What is the exact make and model of your PSU?
Both the 6850 and GTX 460 1GB are fully capable of running today's games at 1920x1080.
Here is my psu along with all the details- http://www.aone.co.uk/ProdInfo.ASP?ProductID=2460 it should be fine, strangely it only came with 1x 6 pin, but i have free'd up 2 molex connectors by using a molex splitter for my pc fans. So basically i can use one of the 6 pin connections and a molex adapter, im just not sure if thats a good idea or not.[QUOTE="sn4k3_64"][QUOTE="markop2003"]I'm gonna guess it's a scam and it's malware. If you want to suspend background processes just use ctrl+alt+del and do it yourself, you can also streamline windows with msconfig.swehuntLol nice assumption of a program you obviously dont know about.. I'd say it's a scam too. : 0.8secs. to press ctrl alt del, another 14secs to shutdown unnessicery apps, so they charge you for stuff that takes less than half minute to do? If anyone would be unceartain off what the processes really do theres google and that was last time i checked all free of charge. Yes, if your paying for it it's a scam in my opinion. You wouldnt pay for it though, last time i used it, it was completely free?
Lol @ the people calling it scams. its from iobit, a trusted company for pc tools, and for people who dont know how to shut off programs or dont want to, it makes sense to have a program like that...

and i can minimize the games, and i can get on teh web open a lot of tabs. i can open Photoshop with a game minimzed. i can rip a DVD and burn a DVD in teh same time when im playing a game with no lag what so ever. all this with my Athlon II x4 OCed at 3.19GHz

at first i did OC with my stock cooler. but at idle my temp was 48*F-51*F and under load it was 68*C-74*C
so i got the Cooler Master hyper 212 cooler and man its great it brought my temps back down to 25*C-31*C on idle and under load 38*C-44*C
