Thanks for helping, hopefully this will give you more in-depth information on the psuhttp://www.aone.co.uk/ProdInfo.ASP?ProductID=2460. I really lack knowledge when in comes to psu's, but as its so cheap i should probably be careful..having said that my mate bought a very cheap 750watt psu and his has been fine ever since he bought it.. Cheers, Sean

Yeah sure, its a CiT 650UB Black Edition, its cheap but all the reviews i have seen are good, but i would like to know if its got enough power please
Sorry but i have one more question regarding molex connectors. Would it be safe to use a molex splitter like this onehttp://www.amazon.co.uk/Power-Splitter-Cable-Molex-Lead/dp/B003OSNWM8/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1282922471&sr=1-4in order to power my case fan and a graphics card like the gtx 460 (along with 1 6-pin power connector)?
No problem, and yes thats what im talking about ^^. Its annoying it needs 2 molex's though, as i dont think i even have 1 free at the moment, so im not sure what to do, firstly i might remove my dvd/r drive to free up a molex, but im not sure where im gna find another 1 lol. Thanks for your help, SeanIs this what you're referring to?
then yes. One came with my 460. Sorry, I misunderstood your question at first. English is'nt my native language.

What do you mean? With the 6 to 4 pin converters? I want to know whether its really worth it, i've got a 650watt psu from CiT with dual 12 v rails, so im guessing i should be okay.. The thing is, i dont want to have to buy a 5770, because of the fact it only uses 1 6pin connection, i want a card which will last in terms of performance and value for money..As long as you can plug it in, it should work as far as I know. I expect it depends on your PSU.

Not only that, but if i did use a 6-pin to 4-pin converter with two molex connectors would i get full power off the card, and would it be safe?
Go for a 9600gt, it will run all those games maxed easily ^^. Wouldnt recommend the one you posted though, it will definitely struggle on TF2.My friend is currently out of state doing a summer job and plans to come back soon and wants to get his old computer running again... It's biggest problem for running games is it's graphics card and I'm wondering if this is a good buy and if it will do the job. He will mostly be playing games like World of Warcraft, Counterstrike Source and TF2. I've had great feedback from Gamespot users in the past and have appreciated it and I hope you guys can help me again today :) thanks.

[QUOTE="sn4k3_64"][QUOTE="choonyos"]It's all opinion based, and most people can't agree on just one. Avast is free and good, Bit Defender is paid and good. Trend Micro is paid and good. I personally find all AV software to be intrusive, and it works more like a virus than any virus I have ever gotten. I also don't get virii, so I can't really comment fully on it. My company forces me to use Symantec, but it's crap and is a resource hog. choonyosIts not all opinion based, you also look at the detection rates and so on.. Sure, but in the end it is all opinion based. Some things matter more to people than other things, lol. I write software I think is excellent, does the job correctly and efficiently, so on and so forth. I then give it to my co-workers and they find flaws that they say ruin it, but that don't bother me in the slightest. It's all opinion based. There are a lot of factors that make a piece of AV software good, you then take the ones that do most of the things that make an AV good and then you decide which one you like the most based on personal decisions. How is it "all" opinion based when if you have facts laid out in front of you based on detection rate, database size, etc, that can influence which av you will choose.
The new video cards will fit using the PCI expansion slots on your case. Most of todays video cards are dual slot cards and will take up two expansion slots on the case. The size of the PCI expansion slots are pretty standard across all manufacturers. The only difference between one case's expansion slots and another's would be the number that the cases offer. But the size of those slots are standard in most cases. As far as price drops go who knows. Your best bet for lower prices for Nvidia gpu's would be a Christmas/holiday sale. The only thing that would cause a price drop for an Nvidia gpu would be ATI's new HD 6000 gpu's coming in November. That will depend on the price point for ATI's new gpu's. And that may not happen. jtcraftOk thank you for the info, looks like im gna just gna have to save up once i get a job hopefully. They arent cheap though, £140 just for a mid-range card is very expensive imo >.
