That statement is true, especially with Microsoft's Xbox 360! My friend just bought the new Xbox 360 250gb(just to make me jealous) but it was he who got jealous of my perfectly working Xbox 360! :lol: After about 4 hours of playing, he said that he suddenly saw a black screen on his TV and a red light on the power button. He went online and looked for a solution, he tried most of the solutions told by xbox.com but none of them seemed to work! So, he picked up the phone and requested a repair.

I hope we all learned a lesson today, always wait 2-3 years to buy new Microsoft hardware!!

I don't know why but every year, I always think Sony has the best E3 Conference compared to Nintendo and Microsoft even though I'm pretty sure Microsoft's was more impressive with Kinect and all. It's probably because Sony really makes it interesting for viewers using excellent music like this time they used Head Automatica's Brooklyn is Burning; I absolutely loved that song!

But anyways, lets look at the top highlights of the conference for me:

1. 3D Blu-Ray Full HD Games with PS3 Move integration. Although PS3 Move doesn't seem as impressive as Kinect, there's something about it that's caught everybody's attention including mine.

2. Playstation Network Plus. If they really promise what they say, with all the added value and exclusive content, its a deal for me!

3. Partnerships with Top developers(eg Valve and EA). The exclusive editions just look great like Medal of Honor bundled with Frontline, thats just amazing!

4. Killzone 3, who doesn't like jetpacks? :D

5. And... Twisted Metal! I've been playing Twisted Metal since the very beginning! I can't believe they finally announced it for the PS3! Although no release date, I don't care... as long as it is coming thats good enough for me.

What were your E3 highlights?

First of all, WTF Gamespot! You kept me waiting till 11am and then I decided to watch it on gametrailers.com instead. Well the greatest news I was really excited about was:

1. Kinect(They could've come up with a better name, seriously), Dance Central seems like the new DDR and KinectAdventures is really creative.

2. ESPN, with Kinect integration, it's probably one of the best features I've seen in a while. Now I really think XBL is worth the while!

3. New Xbox 360! I actually was sad when they announced it, I mean I just got my Elite like a month ago! I feel like a moron now. :(

4. Gears of War 3 and Halo Reach. Gears 3, I'll definitely buy, I mean who wouldn't? Spectacular graphics, excellent story and chainsaws. What more do you want? :P As for Halo Reach, I mean, you can actually sprint now(if you noticed in the demo) seems fun....

I still have one question remaining, what about HULU for Xbox 360???? :'(

I was just browsing through Gamespot and found out a new Medal of Honor is coming out for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC set in Afghanistan in a modern day setting. EALA and Dice, the makers of Mirror's Edge are working on it to bring it to your consoles on October 12, 2010. I can't wait! :D It has been over 3 years since the WW2 Medal of Honor was launched; Airborne which was surprisingly looked promising but was very disappointing. A short campaign and clunky controls and A.I were the causes of my disappointment. The new Medal of Honor takes place in Afghanistan with a promising campaign and multiplayer. In other news, I bought Gears of War 2 Game of the Year Edition for my new Xbox 360 Elite and I am already done with the campaign(wow that was short but fun). One thing I hate about Gears of War is that there is no aiming crosshair until you hold LT(L2) and go into aiming mode.(It's so hard to kill someone when they're close!) I guess I'm just used to standard FPS games like Call of Duty. :S But nonetheless, the game is fantastic. It's probably the best shooter for the Xbox 360 period(Sorry I am not a Halo Fan, I think Halo is so overrated). :P

Well, I haven't blogged on Gamespot for a long time now and wasn't planning on doing it ever again but what do you know I just happened to blog about my self buying an Xbox 360! :P I got the Splinter Cell: Conviction Edition with a 250gb hard drive built-in so my first impressions were pretty high.

But they were soon shattered when I found out the following:

1. This is the only 360 Elite or 360 ever made that doesn't come with an HD cable(HDMI Cable or whatever) to play native 1080p or 1080i on an HD TV. GOD DAMN YOU MICROSOFT! :evil:

2. My new 360 froze after about 2 hours of me playing Splinter Cell(I thought they had fixed the freezing problem) :evil:

3. After buying Gears of War 2 Game of the Year Edition, I found out that the code I entered for the Game of the Year content was invalid! WTF MICROSOFT! :evil:

4. The Xbox 360 is more noisier than my lawn mower!

5. The typing keyboard is not QWERTY! It took me more than 10 minutes to write my damn Xbox Live username!

The only reason I got an Xbox 360 is because my brother convinced me to get one and he works in Microsoft(that means a huge company discount)

Well the fasting season is finishing and Eid is just about to begin. Schools in all Muslim countries or at least Pakistan where I live have given a whole week off.

On this Eid, we get a large allowance for us to spend on whatever we want from all our relatives including our own parents. Last year I got about Rs. 4000 total which is about $50(Its a lot in Rupees) and this year I will probably get more now that I am older and my brother is leaving on the 23rd for the US so all his money will go to me and he gets about Rs.5000 so yay!!:D

This is going to be a fantastic week!

Is this possible? Sony is coming up with a new PS3 250GB with a cracking bundle along with Uncharted 2?

Well we will just have to wait and see. Seeing the incredible rise of sales for the new 120GB model, I'm sure people will go even more crazy for the 250GB model along with this amazing bundle, so I'm sure Sony will probably come up with something like this. But only time will tell.

Well, Apple's event revealed new milestones for its 'not only music player' gadget, the iPod.

The iPod Nano now features:

-A new aluminium look and finish

-A larger screen

-FM Radio with live pause and,

-A camera!(Video camera actually, it doesn't feature still images)

Well most people were disappointed at the last feature, when Apple said that the iPod was too thin to fit the resolution of a still camera in. Wow, I guess there is a thing called 'too thin' for electronics also!(That goes for the PS3 Slim too)

As for the iPod Touch, it features:

-Everything it had before

Wow, thats pretty amazing isn't it? Umm.. does the price drop count as a feature?

Apple also announced that the iPod Touch was now more of a gaming handheld system than ever before as it featured about 20,000 more apps than the PSP or the Nintendo DS.(Sony and Nintendo have a new rival) Ouch! Apple is getting its dinner from the wrong restaurant!

Apple also started bragging about how the iPod's sales has completely beaten Microsoft's Zune, as usual.

I guess this apple event really showed Apple's real color.

Sony Computer Entertainment America reports that the new Sony PS3 model(Slim) has boosted the sales of the PS3 up 300% at top retailers from week-to-week.

From the UK, to Japan and now to the US, the PS3 Slim begins to boost the PS3's sales to the top of the charts. After 3 years of hard work, Sony is finally back in the game with their PS3!
