lol mine didn't even offer a code, and when i asked to get the "gold edition" of the game the turd at the counter was like "uh we only have one edition, the gold edition you're thinking of is probably like the call of duty one, and will be out a couple of months after the game with some new stuff."

i didnt feel like arguing so i said whatever. but ill deffinitely either go back when hes not working or when the manager is in. only thing i can think of being the problem is that i went to an EB Games, but im pretty sure GameStop owns EB Games. at first i thought maybe the gold edition was only in the US (i live in canada) but the bestbuy canadian site is offering the gold edition, as is futureshop (owned by bestbuy, essentially same store) so...lol ill check back at the store later and see what the deal is.

yeah, i'd say that theres a 97% chance those are just display cases, and i'm sure thats exactly what my local EB Games' back room looked like 2 weeks ago when they covered their entire front window with nothing but those LCE cases, with a Legendary Edition helmet in the center.

also, consider the fact that the game just went gold like 48 hours ago, so it's unlikely they would've started shipping them out now, mainly because i'm guessing they dont want to have every retailer in the world on a 3 week honor system. Seriously, would you trust your biggest game release to date with nearly every major retailer, and let them have boxes of the game sitting in the back for 3 weeks? I think not. I'm guessing that stores won't be recieving major shipments until about a week before the game actually releases.

Lastly, if you really wanna findout, go rob that store lol. headline: "Idiot Halo fan steals boxes of display cases" lol.
