F GS! they have taken my decepticon symbol down, their videos and podcasts are getting worse and worse. This is as bad as I thought it was. Game trailers rules! ( GT from now on). I am so sorry to all you tallednted folks at GS but if you do not leave you will either be capitulating to non journalistic advertising revenue, or giving up your "passion" for video games and objective journalism. Good bye all, for good!

I have recently been in communication with an editor of GS. The passion they showed me has thrown me into a great amount of turmoil. I have decided to stick with GS because I have realized what I have always known. The people, the crew at GSare the real reason we are all here. We cannot abandon them so easily, especialy when they need our support the most. Who knows what will happen over the next 6 months or so, but I, for one, will give these wonderful people the benefit of the doubt. Thankyou GS crew, for everything you have done over the last few years, and good luck for the future.

I will be taking a leave of absence from the gamespot community for some time. Questions have recently been raised, in my mind, about the over arching integrety of CNET and Gamespot, when it comes to editorial journalism. I in no way mean to demean the individual employees of gamespot and I feel sorry that they have been put in this situation. However, I have a need for objective, unrestrained journalism. The mere fact that the editors at GS want to keep their job may very well preclude such journalism. I will certainly check back in to monitor the objectivity of GS, but until I am convinced that marketing plays no role in the editorial process, I cannot, in good concience, support the site with my traffic or subscriptions. I encourage every GS user to view the site with a skeptical eye and if you don't want to have your purchasing power dictated to you than do as I have and leave. Good Luck fellow GS community members annd especialy the GS team.

PS. You guys ( The GS crew ) should all leave and form your own site. you have the talent, you have the passion, and now you have the reason.
