Freelance police - a lenghty bloggy!

It's time for a new rumble.

Oh yeah. This is wild. I hate it when I have to force myself to stay up, just to reverse my sleeping rhythm. So, I was up for 28 hours and went to sleep at 7PM. Then I woke up t 4:30AM and couldn't get any more sleep and felt as refreshed as one can bee. Well, I'll use these morning hours for good and play games and surf the web.

Okay, so what else? Well, I bumped into something really fantastic and absolutely gorgeous. Even fabulously splendid, I'd say. Okay okay, enough of hype. The thing I bumped into this time are the new Sam & Max episode -games made by Telltale Games. Some old geezers like me might think that "it's just another great concept ruined", but I do have to disagree. The original author of the comics, Steve Purcell, is along with the crew of Telltale Games. And as a sugar on the top, the crew of Telltale games consist of people who were working on the cancelled Sam & Max: Freelance Police. Too bad LucasArts cancelled it, I enjoyed the trailer I saw of it. How idiotic.

Here's the trailer of the cancelled Freelance Police, and it has the original voice actors from the first game!

But let's talk about these new ones then, shall we?

Anyways, talking about these new episodes. Well, I love the graphics, they are cartoonish but still 3D. You can't hate them. Also, the aspect that almost made me cry, is, that the game is controlled with a mouse! A point 'n click -adventure game today is rarer than chickens with devil claws and pink bonnets.

The walking animation of Sam looked a bit awkward at first, but I got used to it. There's only one thing that disappointed me, which of course is the lack of the original voice actors from the first game Sam & Max Hit the Road (1993). But these new ones are not bad either, those originals were just diamonds.

Well, what can I say? I was stunned by this product, and I just had to order the whole season. The season costs 35 bucks, and it has all those 6 episodes. After the whole season is published, you can even get a disc version of all of the games with the price of postage (Extra stuff might come along). 2 of the episodes have been released, and the rest of them are being published one in a month.

I shall present the interested ones with a jolly good link: http://www.telltalegames.com/samandmax/

Try out the demos. You should like 'em.

You crack me up lil' buddy.
