are you 12 or just a little older. It was a stereotype, obviously there are those that are older that play the game too, but the loudest ones are normally 12, or around there, without any idea of what their talking about. I'm sorry if I offended you, I didn't mean to put you in the same category and I don't expect any of their responses until about 6-7 hours from now when their on computers at school instead of listening to their teacher in class.

I do feel a little stupid now because it is based on hits to the website, but that begs the question, why do so many people give a rats a$$ about a review when come tuesday they're just going to go and buy it because it has the name Halo on it. That and they're a bunch of 12 year olds that need their mommys permission to buy an M rated game, they should be sticking to Nintendo because they have a lot more games geared for their age.

I don't, as stated by several other people it's my opinion that matters, which is why I don't like certain games but they get high reviews.

Ok, first let me tell you that I am not a Halo fan at all, my reasoning behind it would be too long and too much of a rabbit trail for this forum. But as we all know Halo 3: ODST was reviewed over the weekend by some websites, IGN and Gamepro as far as I know. Well, I decided to look at news.google.com just because and this is what I found:

H3

I went ahead and added a box around the reason for the screen capture. I know that Google only collects serious and real news that impacts the world in some way or another, so why did they post a link to a game review. And Halo of all choices. Never have I seen Google news cover anything about a game review and yet the first one I see on their site is HALO!!!! WTF, Halo in all honesty blows. The story is not very original at all, and each game aside from the first was hyped about by a bunch of 12 year olds that don't know how to play anything else. The first Halo was hyped about after its release but I am talking about hype generated before it is released to the public. I've played a lot of games, good and bad (Superman 64 comes to mind), and Halo is just not a good game to me. This is not a Halo bashing post, just the fact that Google decided it was important enough to put on their site that a game was reviewed, and that it was Halo. I think other games deserve this kind of honor, not Halo.

Before all you 12 year olds with your ignorant opinions decide to flame me for this just remember that this is my opinion and just like how you can say ZOMG!!!!1! Halo pwns everything in the universe ever created!!!!, I don't flame you, I call you ignorant because you are. And just so you know I am 24 years old with a little more understanding about things than you, so my opinion may be a little ignorant but I do know a lot more about the subject, and I have played a lot more games, so I can voice my opinion about it without sounding retarded with all your quick text crap like the sentence referenced earlier.

Bioshock, but they were released at the same time. Lost Planet, GoW(in the near future), Halo 1 and 2, GRAW 1 and 3, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Call of Duty, Splinter Cell. And in some cases they came from the PC onto the Xbox 360 like C&C 3, BFME, Far Cry, Battlefield 2, Doom 3. The point I was trying to make, since you couldn't finish was that the xbox systems are a waste of time because it just gets recycled games and in turn the PC gets recycled games from it. I know it's also all about the money and Mr. Gates can't go with just make $1,582.63/sec, he has to make $1,583.64/sec. Don't quote me on how much he actually makes a second, I'm just proving my point.

This also applies to the original xbox, but it is dead now. Anyway, over the lifespan of microsoft's adventure in the video game world I have noticed a kind of redundancy. Every GOOD game on the microsoft systems comes to the PC, or is a multi platform game. The latter being ignored for this, I see no point in the 360 whatsoever. I can list all the games that come out on the 360 and later down the road I walk into Circuit City and find the same exact game for the PC. Unfortunately Halo 2 was released way too late to actually be good on the PC, due to dated graphics, but my claim still stands that the 360 is a waste of money. I'm sure all you M$ fanboys are going to flame me, but the cold hard truth has to come out and it will hurt. Not to mention that Halo, or Gaylo as some refer to it, is a ripe off of everything that is good in the sci fi universe. More flaming from last statement expected. I will give Halo some credit in that it does excellent multiplayer, but that is all. I will leave you with my thoughts on what Bungie should do next, make a strictly multiplayer online shooter, or one that focuses more on multiplayer, like Battlefield 2142. And for the love of God make it more original that Halo.
