Wow, when I first saw my post quoted so many times, I was sure someone was going to make the attempt to flame me, but it's all agreements. Thanks guys. I was sure I was close to alone in that opinion I had, seeing how much of a music freak I am.Symphonycometh
How ironic you posted this message moments before I read your statement. If I were roughly four years younger, be rest assured I would have flamed you to ashes. Thankfully, I'm past the stage and will not bring up any inane arguments. Unlike these others who are blindly patronizing you, I object strongly. I fervently, vehemently, passionatelydigress from your sentiments.
Supplanting a games soundtrack in substitute with my own does not entail me being any less of a "hardcore" gamer than anyone else. My game library reinforces that. You refuting that is limpidly narrow minded. Custom Tracks enhance my adrenaline significantly while playing games. I feel psyched and energetically induced by the energy.
I also find myself playing with more profession than ordinary than listening to the in-game soundtrack. It boosts the fun factor for me. I feel pumped and it's a very satisfying feeling. I don't instantly forsake the in-game soundtrack and replace it. But evidently unlike you, I actually get tired of listening to the same regurgitated music provided by the game. It soon becomes dull, and I lose focus. I appreciate the beautiful compositions by the game's musicians and listen to them normally while engaging play. BUT after hearing the same song 10002304 times, it gets old. The entire atmosphere of the game becomes rejuvenated for me.
Allow me to exemplify, if I play a game like Devil May Cry and blast some Atreyu, Underoath, Sonic Syndicate, All That Remains, ETC, the game suddenly becomes ungodly more immersive for me. That's such an exhilarating sensation! I start jumping around, bobbing my head, playing 10x better than I would have with the game's normal soundtrack. I can lose constantly in a game on a specific area, replace the music, and suddenly win with facile. Hence, why I disagree with everything you said.
