@Heroldp813: I most definitely wont unlessi t's something like a collection (MGS for eg) or major changes, so games from the PS1 era. Thing is, gamers are stupid enough to pay for nostalgia and companies will keep selling us this rubbish.

Midlding reveiws from a lot of people andt hey keep saying the stuff I thought playing the demo, so I'm not surprised. I'm also glad we're getting more honest reviews and way to go for IGN for sticking their necks out. I have a friend who is playing it on his PC, says theer isnt a save big but plenty of other things and for him,e pre patch, he had problems with the game crashing.

Seems to be better now after a couple of fixes but that's just not good enough.

I'm really surprised by this. VR doesn ot have the technology or the software to be a worthy gaming peripheral but this has sold well enough for Sony to push ahead with it. Maybe 2018 will be a bigger year with better and more AAA games releasing on it.

Whats the point if games are not properly optimised? And not all components are the best for every type of game, which is another issue. I built a gaming PC about a year ago, played TW3 full settings, was pretty good but stuttered a bit wit ha better frame rate and found out from friends it happens with certain components. Ended up getting it on PS4, not much of a difference in visual fidelity and I prefer the big screen anyway.

ALthough I have really enjoyed BF1, full blast but other games (Batman, Prey a few others) are not optimised with PC in mind. Later patches might help, mods are even better but the idea that the PC is the superior gaming peripheral should be long dead and I would advise most people to avoid making a full blown gaming tv if you have a console or 2.

Loved the game when it originally released, played it again a couple years back and although the animation is poor by todays standard and a little clunky, the systems are still in depth enough to get you to play in different ways. Each of my 2 play throughs were vastly different and I worked a lot more on crafting and potions and so on in the second play through. Plus, exploring the landscape is still as awesome as ever and a lot more engaging with its lore and the various people you meet along the way.

I don't think any rpg of the type really compares.

@theseth: If we're strictly talking those series, then Mass Effect 2 is superior to the original in pretty much every way. yes it's a bit less "rpg-ish" but it works in favour of the combat and makes it a lot more fluid and basically, a lot more satisfying. Plus the story is better, character progression is better and the final mission is one of the most memorable ever.

In terms of Resident Evil, it was surpassed by Resi 2 and then years later by Resi 4, easily one of the greatest games ever made.

But hey, it's your opinion and although your list is way off mine (No Fallout 3, no GTA etc) that's the beauty of games ,we all like different things. I feel an objective list in such a medium is impossible to make.

I think the last grea Zelda games were on the N64. Pick either of them as the best. Botw is easily the best one since then but I didn't feel it was great. A very fun game no doubt and not every game has to be great. The Zeldas that have come since were all meh for me if I'm being honest.

An 8/10 doesn't sound bad at all lol

FF6 was fun back when I playedi t but it was many years ago. I feel none of the 2D FFs measure up to XII (my all time fave) and then VII, VIII and IX are all great too. Eaisly the high point in JRPG history.

I'm up for a wild west setting, that would be pretty awesome iwth wildlife and weapons but they have to change the formula. The Far Cry games have gotten far too repetitive and its not good enough just to provide a new setting. There was genuine development from Far Cry to FC 2 to FC 3 but the game has just been stuck since.

The OneS looks like a vcr lol The PS4 looks slightly better but the main consoles this gen have been ugly tbh. Too boxy, too vcr 1980s looking.

I gotta say, one of the positives of the Switch is that it looks slick, I know, most ppl will say it looks like a standard tablet but slide in the controllers and it looks pretty. Feels slick too.
