Michigan

Living in Michigan now with my girlfriend since she works at GM and I'm looking for a job. At least I have gamefly and LOTRO to keep me company.

3 weeks and counting

I've got three weeks left of uni, and about 4 projects to come together in that time. I've got to make, texture, and light a room, got to animate one character in a room standing up and sitting down, and another with two characters talking to each other. Yes, I'm very tired but I thought I should add to y blog since it's been a while. Here's to animation, hopefully it gets easier.

Animating

I've been so busy making up for my student advisors mistakes in giving me the wrong classes I've been working late each night trying to complete as much animation as possible, so far, I'm stuck still doing the assignments that are absolutely useless, pretty lame...

Spring Semester...

As I continue through my spring semestery at the Academy, I find that creating games is a lot more difficult that I once thought it would be. For example, creating the original idea with full on concept art and gameplay features and anything else needed for the game bible is very time consuming. The rules for the project were, no violence, no cliches (elves, robots, ninjas etc.). I came up with an excellent concept that the teacher liked (who just happens to work at Konami) and I'm moving along with it.
Also, the World Cup is coming, and I'm psyched to see Australia in it. The mens San Francisco soccer league will also start the 5th of March and hopefully my sprained ankle will have healed up enough to play.

Australia

Back after a month back home in Australia. Was fun, minus the dental surgery to remove the 4 wisdom teeth and the mouth full of blood that followed. Got my drivers license at last since I failed last year, and to top of that, and make a truly kickass start to the year, I got my XBOX 360 earlier than expected, guy at EB said nobody came in to collect pre-orders so he gave me mine earlier. Though I must say, so far, I haven't been blown by the graphics, the immersion is pretty insane. Surround sound does make all the difference, and Xbox live? Wow, they couldn't make it any better. Well, perhaps reduce lag, but besides that, wow.

g.a.m.e

Well, even though I'm extremely busy with my finals (which just happens to be modelling Robin from Teen Titans and his motorcycle and putting them together in a 10 second short) I managed to sneak over to G.A.M.E. and I must say I have enjoyed my first game show. Though by no means is this E3, nor is it suppose to be, it served it's purpose as a fun game gathering hosted by the best web based gaming site in the world. I hope they make this an annual event cause I know more and more developers will display their wares at this event. As for now, it's 4:06 am, I have a Robin head to finish, and I'm freaking tired...
