With Uncharted 2 Among Theives getting rave reviews and a definite contender for GOTY and Demon Souls that offers a deep, harsh RPG experience only offered on PS3 with some of the best and craziest online i've heard of. If you dont have a PS3 yet,whats your excuse? Killzone 2, Demon Souls, Ratchet and Clank, Infamous, and Uncharted 2 all released this year alone, PS3 is an amazing system. Cant wait for MAG and Heavy Rain. AND the price drop to $300 for 120 GB slim PS3, theres no excuse anymore. If you want a true gaming experience this year the only way to get it is to buy a PS3.

I played a lot of games this past week, and its actually hard to figure out a way to write out my experiences without ranting, but ill give it my best shot. So as almost anyone with a computer knows Halo ODST came out last week, and even though i dont currently own a 360, i still waited in line and bought it at the midnight launch. I played it on my brothers 360, and have to say i was extremley disappointed in the campaign, it was a pain to get through due to boredom. But firefight mode more than made up for it, and i enjoyed that a lot and had a friend bring over his 360 and played 4 player co-op. The Mythic maps i found a lot of fun online or off, but the exclusives 3 mapswere lacking and didnt seem ripe for Team Slayer, but since i never bought any maps for Halo 3, ODST was a steal for 60 dollars. Still i didnt like Campaign co-op or solo, so it was a little disappointing since i enjoyed Halo 3's so much.

Another game i played was MAG, i got a beta key from Qore, that game is simply amazing. I wasnt really interested in the game, and actually didnt download the beta till a week after i got the key, but now i regret that. Anyone who doubts MAG because of its graphics arent flashy enoughor because its bound to have lag, let me set you straight. There is NO lag, none, i played 15 matches, my friend played 10, and i experienced no lag, not once. It felt like i was playing single player, not online. What Zipper has done here is make the best online shooter, and made it lag free, and extremley deep. Yes i said best, better than Halo and more fun than Counter Strike. While i loved Killzone 2, I wouldnt call it the "Halo killer", MAG though is the Halo Killer. The game is epic on so many levels, its just jaw dropping, and the graphics are awesome for 256 players online and running at a smooth 30 fps is even more impressive. But looking past the epic battles, the fun gameplay, or the laag free online, the best part is the sound. Never before has a shooting game sounded so good. Basically MAG is an amazing game, and its only the beta!!! So if Killzone 2, Uncharted 1&2, Motorstorm, LittleBig Planet, or Infamous didnt want to make you wanna get a PS3, try MAG, you'll pick it up.

Another game i tried this week, isnt in the same category as MAG or Halo, is Left 4 Dead's new DLC Crash Course. The reason why it isnt is cause its plain awful, I love L4D but this DLC is 2 chapters long, yes its been 10 months and the only new DLC they added was 2 chapters. And 2 bad, boring chapters, i own this game on PC so i didnt pay for it like the unfortunate XBL players, but i still had to wait to dowwnload it. I want my 10 minutes back and the 29 minutes i spent beating the DLC.

I am not too upset that its broken, i got more than enough use out of it, im just mad that my blockbuster movie, Friday the 13th, was stuck in there. I never even got to watch it...and i cant figure out how to remove it without sending my PS3 to Sony.

Now that I've watched all the major press conference's, the game videos, and demos from E3. I now have made up my mind about which games I am the most excited by.

If you know me, you knowI am not a fan of xbox by any means, but after playing Infection on Halo 3 for the last few days, I'm excited to play it again with some polished graphics andperhaps a better level editor? Left 4 Dead 2 looks like a lot of fun, but I'm not sure I'd call it a full blown sequel, it looks like a bunch of small add ons...while i hope Valve releases it as an expansion pack, i will buy it if they dont. I dont want to justify my whole list but i will say i am excited by AC2, because it seems to fulfill the empty promises of the last one, not to mention the amazing graphics. The last 2 on my list are self-explanatory

I was hoping to see a reason to buy a 360 again, after mine died last year, but it didn't happen. They showed games like Alan Wake, Halo 3, and Forza but that wasnt anything new or exciting. Though I was surprised by Left 4 Dead 2 and Splinter Cell, and will definitely buy those on PC later this year. And as far as that Milo tech demo, it was painful to watch. I have better things to do than talk to my TV. The technology was impressive but it doesn't belong on a game console. And the new no controller thing looks like a mix of Wii and Eye Toy. So while it may please current owners, I can't see this bringing in a new crowd, it certainly didn't make me miss my 360. So my grade for MS would be a C+ I cant see myself buying a 360 for some features and no good exclusives. Hope Sony's and Nintendo's press conference fares better than Microsofts press conference. I know Sony's going to show some God of War 3 and Uncharted 2, as well as the new PSP Go, and im hoping for some MAG and Heavy Rain coverage as well. Though i dont know what Nintendo has up there sleeve...some Zelda, maybe Mario? I dont know, hopefully they wont spend too much time on Wii Resort.

People are talking about MGS 4 coming to 360, a new PSP, MS showing a handheld, a PS3 price drop, a PS3 slim,and a newTwisted Metal? Anyone who believes any of this is gonna happen prepare to be disappointed. I really cant see any of this happening,but if i'm wrong, this would be awesome, but i wouldnt bet on it. Kotaku has some predictions, and i will side with tthem, while IGN is just going over board.

So i played the demo, played the full version, and i still cant get into this game. I've done the tutorials and i still dont get the controls. You literrally use EVERY button on the controller and even have to combine 3 buttons at a time to do a basic move like kicking, And theere are like 15 different ways to move the analong stick to transition, and they have to be spot on. And the whole game is based on luck, i can get your screen to get gray and one more good punch and your gone. But of course i cant hit you so you punch me once and im gone, even though my character was fine. Its beyond a dumb design. This game requires NO skill. I hated the SvR series aand this game is no different, sluggish movement, delayed blocking, and is pure luck

Sorry but im gonna have to go with a big fat NO on that one. I cant believe how many people are getting hyped about this, did they even look at the source? GameFork? Wth? Anyway Hideo denied that several times, sorry 360 fanboys, DLC is all you have for 2009.
