The only 3ds games that appeal to me are MGS3, Ocarina of time, Starfox, which are ports/remakes.kong_sevixnine
MGS3 doesn't exist. THAT WAS JUST A TECH DEMO. The developers haven't even decided if they will develop a game or not. IT WAS JUST A S SMALL WALK WITH A SCENE.

Yeah, I'm not too impressed with nintendo on this one. Even if I was intrested, I'm hearing a $250 rumor floating around, so if that is the launch price, I will not be getting it for a very long time. My DS Lite will keep me gaming for a long time.

Calvin079
Oh brother here we go again with the same nonsense. Dude Nintendo is not obligating you to go and get the 3DS at launch. If you don't want it then don't get it. I guess you are one of those who want new gaming system to cost $100 dollars at launch but don't mind getting a IPod Nano for almost $200 dollars just to hear music with very little screen on it. Oh and yes i will get it at launch, i live the present not the future and i am not ridiculous to keep waiting 3 or more years for new stuff or price drops. You never know if you'll be available to get future products.

I attempted to buy Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door a couple of months ago and it wasn't cheap. It cost $50 dollars at GameCity. Only the third party games for the cube a cheap. I use the ganmecube feature of the Wii sometimes with the 7 games I own for the Gamecube.

I love that game but man $50 dollars for a used game is too much.

How does that equate to US dollars?

Holy crap, i would go into sticker shock if I saw that here. I don't even like paying $60 US for new games. Wait a few months and Gamestop has games for $19.99 or less...can you guys at least get deals on used games?

danjammer69
A few months? Some games take a year and almost two like Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction. I see it this way: if you want the game and it is worth $60 then safe money and get, if the game is not so good or you aren't sure then don't get until a price drop. Unfortunately this is the way the companys work. The PS3 cost less here but cost more in other countries, the games cost less here a launch but the cost more in Japan and other countries.

I say $250. The PSP was $250 on launch day and that was in 2005. Just my thought.

Funny thing is that consumers will be dumb enough to purchase it no matter how much it turns out to be. If you just wait a little while you'll find better colors, better bundles (free game bundle), gift card offers, etc etc.

Huskypaw

I don't find funny getting a console at launched. What do you call a little? What i find funny is ignorant people with the money who want a console and keep waiting up to 4 years for a price drop and then they keep babbling thinking they are more intelligent. I prefer getting the console i want the first or second year and start having fun and playing games than waiting 3 or more years like a loser having the money. It's been a long time and the DS has only keep increasing in price. Do people wait for the next iphones and ipods before getting one? LIFE CAN TAKE MANY TURNS. IT'S BETTER TO LIFE THE PRESENT THAN THE FUTURE.

AND I AM NOT REFERING TO YOU.

Well I don't think it's very intelligent to buy consoles at launch time except for the unusual situation of being very rich. Of course it's better to wait until at least the biggest teething troubles have been solved. Let's look, for example, at the 360: The slim version maybe is the first version that really works and yet people still have to wait to see what other buyers will report about it; for example if there still are major problems like RRoD, etc. Fully living in the present is as foolish as in the future; it should be a good mixture of both since you're a thinking living being thus being able to plan ahead which contrasts people in this society from animals.

Oh brother guys stop this KIDDY NONSENCE . If you don't want to get it then don't buy it. The example you are giving is very childish and ignorant. Every piece of electronic have it shares of problems. Heck even the 360 Slim may came defective, go to youtube and you will see videos of broken units in just weeks or days. Even cars can came with problems, people waiting 5 years to get a console having the money is way too ridiculous. LIVING THE PRESENT IS THE WAY TO GO. YOU NEVER KNOW IF TOMORROW YOU'LL BE AVAILABLE TO GET THE NEW THINKS, YOU NEVER KNOW BUDDY.

Sorry for the double post but a question just came to me...

Why is FFX so beloved by a lot of people when it seems just as linear and very similar to XIII in that respect? I started FFX and I just finished the bliztball part and so far it's the same thing. "Corridor like" areas, point A to Point B, point C to point D, and repeat with random battles mixed in and cut-scenes.

What's up with so much love for X and not XIII? Is it because it came first so it was more novelty at the time?

roboccs
A game more than 5 years in developement should be a lot better. Square-Enix failed big this time.

If FFXIII makes GOTY I will lose hope in gaming industry.. I love Final Fantasy franchise but XIII doesn't set well with me at all..

Sokol4ever
Exactly. As much as i love RPGs FFXIII doesn't deserve a GOY award.

Hopefully $189.99

Ghost120x
$189.99? Do you know the current DSXL cost $189.99? It is most likely to cost $199.99 to $229.99 not more than that.

Since I'm too lazy to read right now, what I'm hearing from this thread is "Sony took out the OtherOS feature, so it's only fair that it comes to this". Piracy is what ruined the PSP (Looks at self), don't want it to happen to the PS3, lest it go the way of the dreamcast and lose all third party support.

ThePerro
You're very wise. That's the big problem that cheap and ignorant losers most of them teens and kids don't understand. If you don't want to pay $60 dollars wait for a price drop, if you don't want to buy it then rent it or borrow it from a friend.
