[QUOTE="soulreaper-4"][QUOTE="SaltyMeatballs"] Except Zelda, most are. Last gen Mario Sunshine was 30fps, but Wii versions are all 60fps.painguy1

Mario Galaxy runs at 30 fps according to many gaming sites. That was revealed long before the launch. Anyway will 60 fps make you have more fun playing a game?

SMG runs at 60fps not 30fps. This has already been stated by Nintendo, and no in most cases that ive experience 60fps doesnt make a game any more fun :P

Eh? What kind of fun experience more fps gives you when playing an adventure game? We are not talking about FIRST PERSON SHOOTERS.

[QUOTE="Elian2530"]I always thought most Nintendo First-party games run smooth and usually at 60 fps? I hope so! Because Other M seems like a really fast-paced, action-oriented game. I'd hate for it to be all choppy and laggy. SaltyMeatballs

The PSP is powerful enough to produce deep and fun games. The problem it have is called PIRACY. Almost everyone you see where i life that owns a PSP use it to play games downloaded illegally. The worst part if they see someone playing legal copies they ask them if they want to mod it and do the same. If Sony could battle the piracy problem and launch more games like Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walkers the PSP could easily stay for a long time. Oh and they should make more firmware updates to keep thinks fresh. That's what they need to do in my personal opinion.

It's because PSP is unpopular. It's far more popular in Japan than in NA.Kleeyook
It's because tons of people pirate the crap out of new PSP games that are released. No surprise why the sales are so low.Francision69
The PSP is way more popular in Japan and over there you find a lot more variety in games plus the people doesn't pirate them like crazy. Piracy is the main problem with the PSP, people who are not accepting this are either in the pirate wagon or are covering it. Personally i am tempted to get a green PSP bundle but these kind of problems are holding me on doing so. I afraid of getting it and then hear the discontinuation of the platform. Where i live almost everyone on the streets and in college pirate the PSP games instead of buying them legally. Pirates should be detected when downloading and be charged the value of the game they are downloading. The funny thing is that many pirates download illegally the games just to say: HEY I HAVE 100 GAMES WITHOUT PAYING A CENT AND YOU ARE A SUCKER PAYING FOR THE ONES YOU HAVE; but in reality they download every crap game available the from those 100 they only finish one or two games compleately.

[QUOTE="soulreaper-4"][QUOTE="Shadowtails9000"]

But once the ACTUAL GAME is made, it's just a matter of copying CDs to sell. Movies cost MILLIONS to make, but you don't see people paying 50 bucks for DVDs do you? Same concept goes for games, since it's just CDs formatted for the consoles. Absolutely NO REASON as to why a game should cost 40-50 bucks when a BRAND NEW DVD rarely goes for more than 20 bucks. It's not fair to the consumers if they aren't producing expensive cartridges or a reason FOR the price to be so high.

Shadowtails9000

Movies cost MILLIONS BUT THEY SOLD THE TICKETS TO SEE THEM FOR $25 DOLLARS ALMOST EVERYWHERE. Then after that they sell the store version for $20 on DVD and $30 on Blue Ray. Not that i'm being rude but you sound LIKE ONE OF THOSE PIRATES WHO SOLVE EVERYTHING WITH PIRACY and think that games are created by a copy paste process. If you don't want to pay $50 for games you want then wait some time for a price drop. It isn't unfair to sell games at the price they want to because they aren't food or a necessity.

I'm not a pirate. I don't believe in stealing. However, I will simply do without a game because the prices are ridiculous these days. Ask anyone, it's even worse since most new games, especially on the Wii, only last 10 to 20 hours. I'm not starting a fight, I'm sticking to my opinion that gaming companies, ESPECIALLY NINTENDO, which is bathing in cash at the moment, should be a bit more reasonable with prices.

LOL. You make me laugh. Prices are ridiculous these days? Do you know how much was the cost of a new NES game back then? The only games that last more than 20 hours are RPGs with because the have a lot of dialog, cenes and GRINDING. When a game last that long and it isn't an RPG in most of the cases it has a lot of backtracking. Uncharted 2 is one of my favorite games this gen and guess what? The single player story last like 12 to 15 hours but the games is pack to the top with action and have you engage in many awesome situations constantly playing and controlling everything plus it have a lot of unlockables, a great online multiplayer mode and it is one of those games that make you want to play it to have fun. That's an example of great purchase and game. IF YOU THINK THE PRICES ARE RIDICULOUS THEN WAIT FOR PRICE DROPS.

New games for the NES costed $42 dollars.

I don't have 40 bucks to waste on 20 hours of a game. I never buy new games, I refuse to pay 40 dollars for a CD with the game copied onto it. The massive prices were okay back in the cartridge days, when the games costed quite a bit to manufacture, so you had to pay a lot to get them. But making games nowadays costs a matter of cents. Unless it is a title like Brawl, or the new Metroid, I won't pay so much out of my pocket in these trying times for a game. I'll wait till the price goes WAY down or just buy it used.

Shadowtails9000
LOL. You are funny. Making a game nowadays cost MILLIONS MY FRIEND NOT CENTS. We pay for the game not the Materials.

Use the laser cleaner. It works wonderful. Your disks will remain the same but you'll be more relaxed as it won't be happening again soonenrique_marrodz
The Nintendo Cleaning Kit? But the laser is not scratching the games.

[QUOTE="psychobrew"] No. I'm afraid I'd become a paranoid obsessive compulsive wreck if I did.psychobrew

Are you trying to tell me all you said to me?

Are you trying to say i am a paranoid obssesive co,pulsive wreck?

No. I'm saying I have those tendencies.

But I do think you should stop worrying and enjoy your games.

LOL. Now i get it. At first i thought you were referring to me. At one moment i thought of opening the Wii since i have opened PCs but right now i don't thing that will be wise either spending $75 dollars plus packing the console and pay shipment so Nintendo can take a look. I'm not sure there could be a defect in the motor plastic like a sharp edge because if that was the case the games would have an indentation.

[QUOTE="wiifan001"]I'm not paying $50 for a 6 hour game Time to go to my local rental store...which is now out of business and through with its going out of business sale

I don't wanna sound rude but you sound very childish. If you want games that take hours upon hours to finish you then will need to only get RPGs. 6 hours for a game that you can just start playing and have fun while replaying it again many times is better than spending 50 hours playing a RPG that after it is finished will just collect dust.
