I was looking at this picture of the spinning motor and i don't know that it could be a problem with it. Could it be the form it have? I was thinking it could be a shap edge but in that case it will cause an identation on the disc which it isn't.

I think i sound like a paranoid person but hey can you guys tell me if your games have developed this or not.

psychobrew

No. I'm afraid I'd become a paranoid obsessive compulsive wreck if I did.

Are you trying to tell me all you said to me?

Are you trying to say i am a paranoid obssesive co,pulsive wreck?

My Super Mario Galaxy has some wear and tear on it but it plays just fine.

LegatoSkyheart
At one moment i thought that. My confusion and doubt came from when i bought my copy of Mario Galaxy 2, the moment i inserted the game into my Wii and i took it out there was one of those little line. This is somewhat confusing because if this is a problem then a lot more Wii's are like mines and and don't want my games getting this if it is not normal plus paying $75 dollars plus shipping just for Nintendo to check it out is too much. And getting another Wii will be a waste of money and all the data on the Wii will be lost.

the only game my wii has scratched is guitar hero legends of rock, it has a big circular scratch all around the border

but what you have is normal, don´t worry, play happy :)

unrealtron

I hope so. Some people here told me that their games didn't have these little superficial lines around the hole . I wonder if the understood what i was talking about.

Everything is okay. Unless a disc actually gets scratched, there's nothing to worry about. It already would've happened if your Wii already had the problem.JordanElek
What about those little fine lines? They must but light superficial scratches as i told are not on the actual disc only around the hole of the plastic hub.

Ok first i want to start by telling you this is not the first time i have posted looking for an answer to my problem. I bought my Wii the first day it became available and it wasn't until some months ago a doubt is not letting me play my games having the fun time i should get without worry. After taking a look athe downside of my game game discs i found that they have developed some little fine lines on the center of the plastic hub around the hole that touches the spinning motor and not on the actual disc part that hold data. To notice them you need to take a very close look and inspect them under a light buld reflection.

According to a Nintendo Rep as long as my games play without giving me error messages my Wii is ok. And he said that if the Wii were scratching my games they will get a very noticeable and non superficial circle scratch around. I would like you Wii owners to give me your opinion on this. I really want to play my GC and Wii games again just having fun whiout having to worry.

I know i may sound childish or dumb but i just want to make sure everything is ok.

First of all - how do you care about microscopic scratches when you can hardly notice them? This is the size of the microfiber scratches. I use a cotton with ethanol to clean the glossy corps.Crimsader
So those guys at the AV forums are right? The glossy exterior will scratched a bit from the moment they are taken out of the box? Normal?
