Comparing to a free service to a paid service, the free one is ALWAYS the best. When it comes to paying, Xbox wins if the PS3 adds a few more improvements.
I was having thoughts on that, and said to myself, why would I? With those $50 I can buy myself a game such as Bioshock 2. I am not going to pay something I can get for free in a different place. People will say 4 dollars a month this, a few cents a day, how about a year? The Xbox 360 costs 399 and the ps3 about 499 (They decreased it for the slim.) They say the PS3 is too expensive. OH REALLY? Xbox 360 ELITE= 399= about 450 with tax. You have to pay for Xbox live. PS3 = 499= about 550 with tax. That is it. You pay nothing else apart from games. YEAR ONE. PS3= pay the internet service provider(the cheapest is 15 bucks)= 730 Xbox LIVE =pay the internet service provider(the cheapest is 15 bucks) + 50 for a year=680 YEAR TWO PS3= pay the internet service provider(the cheapest is 15 bucks)= 910 Xbox LIVE =pay the internet service provider(the cheapest is 15 bucks) + 50 for a year= 910 YEAR THREE PS3= pay the internet service provider(the cheapest is 15 bucks)= 1090 Xbox LIVE =pay the internet service provider(the cheapest is 15 bucks) + 50 for a year= 1140 YEAR FOUR PS3= pay the internet service provider(the cheapest is 15 bucks)= 1270 Xbox LIVE =pay the internet service provider(the cheapest is 15 bucks) + 50 for a year= 1370 You spent about 100 extra in 4 years. This is not 100% correct but an estimate and it does not include the purchases of games. Xbox 360 is a money hog, just look at the failure of vista. Why am I comparing vista with xbox live? It is from the same company and yet it was one of THE worst computers. Xbox live had one of THE worst when it comes to system failures aka RRoD. I will pay for Xbox live if it has a browsing the internet feature but I would not hold my breath for it since they will tell you to BUY A PC. People who tell you they don't mind it or tell you that they will spend their money on how they see fit are just blind. They need to know that Microsoft will copy n paste and charge it. Why put a prize on friends? Think about that. Do they REALLY care about you and your friends?
