I've been modded and suspended. It wouldn't really matter to me if I did or not again. There's always some money-sucking blood hound right around the corner willing to accept another application to take my money. I feel like Eidos and Io Interactive have made one of the sh!tt!est games in a long time, and a Gamespot editor laid it on the line. And I'm not very happy about the there being no news of it on the GS. The editors and journalists feed us information on a day to day basis about games, but they can't tell us that one of their voices forced out of the business. That, to me, just paints them as a bunch of pansies. I was always under the impression that good journalism exposes sh!t for what it is. He's done that before, and I hope Jeff has the chance to do it again. Screw Eidos for any involvement, indirect or otherwise.
I feel like Eidos had to spend that much money. The game is completeS*h!t The only way they were going to make money was to shove it down our throats, in hopes that we might say something to the effect of, "Wow, that does look like a good game. I should buy it." Even if Halo 3 wasn't advertised as much as it was, the game would have sold itself based on players' prior experiences. Kane & Lynch doesn't have a past. And it will never be a great game. It's not in the league of Half-Life, Halo, or Call of Duty. It's a shame this all transpired around this time of year.
Sony better pull something out of their asses come E3, otherwise I'll just be sticking with my pc. I'm not really into sports game and console fps's, so a 360 is out for me. And the Wii just isn't impressing me yet. The PS3 the only system that I want to save up for, but Sony's making that kind of difficult. Losing exlusives is one of the best ways to disenfranchise (not sure about the spelling of that word) loyal fans of their games and hardware.
