i cant quite remember, but it is 24" and i remember that it was much more than 1080. how about if the monitor doesnt have an input for speakers - then what? and i THINK it had a response time of either 5 or 3ms....but even if it was 5, would it really be that noticible?

thanks

Hi all

Just a few qns- i live in hungary and im planning on buying a LCD computer monitor rather than a TV since its cheaper. I saw this 20" one which had an HDMI input (or is it output?) and I think it has inbuilt speakers, so thats fine.

I did however see a 24" one for not much more. there are 3 questions i have for this:

1. it doesnt have an HDMI input. I hear that i can use an HDMI -> DVI cable. Will i get the same quality?

2. i heard (though not confirmed) that using a HDMI - DVI cable will only support SOME monitor resolutions. Do I have to look out for a particualr type / be careful? How about the 16:10 vs 16:9 ratio business? will i be able to change b/w them?

3. I dont think the 24" has speakers and since its HDMI to DVI, it cant play sound anyway. I heard you can use external speakers, but im confused on where you'd plug it in / hook it up. And would it work using this "converted cable"?

many thanks

Hi all

i know this has prob been asked lots of times, but cant seem to find the answer. my problem / question is this:

I would like to buy a PS3 in Asia (Malaysia) and take it to Europe (Hungary) since its cheaper that way

1. i want to know whether itll play games i buy in Hungary (if im not mistaken, i think they will since they arent region coded, though it wont play bluray / dvd since they ARE region coded)

2. im confused about this whole NTSC / PAL business. the PS3 in Malaysia is NTSC and in Hungary its PAL. Iv heard however, that if you use HDMI, then none of this matters. Could someone please verify this?

Thats about it. Im leaving in 4 days so any replies would be much appriciated!

thanks!

hi guys. i was wondering if u could help me out. Im a student here in Hungary and they sell the PS3 for $740. It comes with GTA4, HDMI cable, 1 contoller and its a 40GB console.

dont really think i have any other option since getting it else where would involve either a plane or train ticket, so in the end, i think this is a good solution? what do you guys think?

thanks a lot in advance

Hi all

Im planning on getting a PS3, coz i really wanna play GTA4 and BIA:HH. Thing is, I study in Hungary and I think they might be ripping me off here for a PS3, so would be grateful if you could tell me how much ur PS3 cost from where ever u got it so that I can compare prices

Thanks in advance!
