Yup. Still in STALKERSOUP. That darn thing has an awful grip on me. I've been revisiting the great classic Realms of the Haunting, though, now on sale on GoG. Really worthpicking up, a truly "ahead of its time" game. On the other hand, soon comes a Dota 2 tournament, so I'm training. Wish me luck! :D

Trying this blog thing again.

Well, I've been getting into Gamespot more frequently than usual, and I thought I might as well update this thing.
I am currently plodding through the STALKERSOUP mod for STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, and it gets pretty close to my ideal game. Open world, tons of stuff to do, realistic difficulty, post-apocalyptic setting, RPG-like stats, creepy atmosphere, great A.I.... the list could go on. Most of the great things of STALKER are there (read my review - a bit dated, but still stand by it), with ludicrous amounts of more great things added in, like 20+ new areas, new weapons, improved graphics and even modder tools to tweak your STALKER experience to your liking! So, I've spent a lot of time in the Zone.
Also, I've been grinding my way in Warframe. Warframe is probably the best P2P out there, with decent prices, PvE gameplay that makes Deep Pockets Wins a thing of the past and mechanics that actually feel like they favor the player. The game looks great, plays great and feels great. Highly recommended.

Never say never, says the famous adage.
Should have known better xD. I was one of those rabid WoW fans, eager to get the best items, the best tier sets and to knock off every single boss. But i got burnt. Sometimes (many times) WoW's pace becomes too frantic. Oddly enough, it becomes frantic when it's the most repetitive and standard MMORPG so far. I had my eyes closed for around a year and a half until I found many of the free and paid MMORPGs floating around the net.
Take for instance Maplestory. Very widespread now, is a cutesy little MMORPG that works on a 2D scroller level. Is great fun, and it's coloful graphics are cheerful enough to give you a smile.
But the one i fell in love with was EvE Online. This game was the one that made me forget completely about WoW and every other MMORPG out there. While it might have the steepest learning curve of practically any game, it's one of the most satisfying experiences I've had with a game. The magnitude of the game universe, the scale of it, the astounding graphics, the freakishly good music and the deep, DEEP gameplay make it one of the most valuable additions in my game library.
EvE has me hooked. If anyone is reading this, try EvE. It'll get you hooked too.
Promises.

Have you people ever wondered how many times your parents have promised something and in the end postpone it or dont make up to it at all?
I think it would be more than once. Anyhoo, mom threw off her promise. Is not that I'm mad or something, but I'm just tired of getting excited about anything and not having it (I'm a spoiled brat. P2P does that to you :) ). Anyhoo, that should be about it on the gaming side.
I'll try to write more reviews. I'm presenting the TOEFL language test soon and I would like to hone my english skills. In case you hadn't noticed yet, english isn't my native. In case you're wondering, my native is spanish. In case you are planning to leave bad or racist comments, just don't.
I bought Guild Wars at bargain price. Good thing you don't have to pay month fees. Having WoW I don't think I have space for another MMORPG in my life. We'll see how it goes.
C ya around.
Here we go...

Uhm... Hi. xD
So, how could they screw so badly on R6 Vegas 2?
Fine, fine... they didn't screw it. However, I feel it could have been way awesomer than it did... The Lone Wolf level is fantastic (if a bit hard) but the rest of the game is plagued with a terrible dèjá vu feeling. It even looks worse than the original!
Oh well... At least it ends better... That's the first part of my rant. The second part would be... Why does my college have to reain closed? Bunch of riots and all that stuff... It's been a week like this.... Anyhoo, going to a medical appointment today... not much else. Seems mom is willling to learn how to play World of Warcraft, and that has me cheered up. We'll see how it goes. I'll keep you updated.
See ya pplz around.
