As long as news outlets keep cooking the numbers to try and prove that more women then men are playing games we'll continue to see money and time wasted on creating games with equal sex characters. The extra time and money in development only hurts the industry and the consumers. Besides it's total bullshit anyway, there are not more female gamers then male.
