Yes thats right the man everyone said would end up in the same boat as good ol' Dan.....Lots of records and no hardware to show 4 it, well Peyton Manning sure has shut up those people by going into a rainy Miami, Florida and won his very first NFL Championship! The student of the game has become the teacher as him and his Indy team took care of those self proclaimed "Monsters of the Midway" If you werent sure if Peyton was a bonefide 1st bid into the HOF then hopefully now you are convinced of his greatness! All that there is left for Manning to go out and do is finish breaking the rest of Dan Marino's records and spirit! Cause I figure that by the end of Peyton Manning's career he will have surpassed damn near if not all of the quarterback records ever previously set before him. WOW! What an amazing player we are being witness to in our current era!

Hey im back and ready 2 give out my predictions on who will make it 2 Miami. Of course the most popular pick is 4 it 2 be L.T. and his Chargers v.s. Brian Urlaucher and his Chicago Bears Defense, but i cant see those teams in the big game- or atleast i dont see Chicago in it. To me the team to beat in the NFC are the Philladelphia Eagles. The winners of 3 in a row and led by an unlikely but very much so hero in Jeff Garcia. Indianapolis is more of a giant risk with no run defense against powerful running teams in the playoffs (cough-The Chiefs) so for anyone to have them going to the bowl is highly doubtful. The J-E-T-S jets, jets, jets though are amusing seem to be no real threats to the great one Tom Brady and his Patriots. The AFC Championship game will most likely be: San Diego and New England-winner Ladiamien Tomlinson. Out of the NFC the matchup is simple Philly and Baltimore-winner Eagles flying higher then the Ravens mediocre offense. Super Bowl will have The Chargers meeting The Philladelphia Eagles here in Miami, Florida where Andy Reid will finally become the bride instead of the bridesmade and Win Super Bowl XLI!

DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE, but alas what used to be the raiders most well known signature high flying offence can't take off the gound.The biggest problem lies up front with their o-line giving up 9 sacks and was letting young QB Walter take a beating. The other problem was consistancy from the coaching staff, they didn't let the run game get into enough of a rythem early in the ball game to make seattle think twice about coming hard with the pressure. The only reason we stayed in the game and weren't killed 42-0. They are a young group who are begining to learn & grow as the weeks pass. praise the DEFENSE!

Finally the Raiders ended the speculation of a winnless season but team still needs alot of work to do to become a better (not good) but better ball club than they are now. Yes, maybe the taste of victory can go along way as to their moral is conserned, but that game wasn't exactly showing what we can do against a dismal arizona team that can seem to get into enough of a rythem to beat ANYONE, and they offense still seemed 2 struggle with turnovers and dropped passes. Meanwhile there was a small glimpse of improvement on the defensive side of the ball forcing turnovers, 3 & outs, and sacks. But lets be real it was the cardinals and they're not exactly known for having the greatest O-line, so that should have been expected with Derrick Burgess swarming around to the rookie quarterback. All in all, the Raiders still have a long way to go before getting their swagger back especially with the reigning world champs next in line.  

Sad enough as it is right now for oakland but they also are being distracted by one (Jerry Porter) player who has grown intorlerable and has a grudge with new head coach Art Shell, personally i don't blame him. I mean even though it is only the second game of the year but coach Shell isn't utilizing our greatest and most feared weapon (Randy Moss) instead of assuring that Quarterback postion that we lacked in 05 he drafted a saftey/cornerback (Michael Hoff) and when given the chance to sign either Donte Cullpepper or Drew Breez we signed a sorry excuse of a QB coming off a horrible season with the saints (Brooks). It seems that we can't get a break and only will get worse as the season progresses but there is one thing for raiders fans can look foward to and his name is Brady Quinn from Noter Dame! Well theres always next year!

The Oakland Raiders have had a few bad seasons and alot of bad deals. though they are my team and im always going to be part of the Raider Nation, I must say I've been disapointed with signings such as Aaron Brooks. He is an interception throwing machine. seriously he isn't accurate but has a big arm. But wasn't that our same problem with Kerry Collins? We do need Defense but when Randy Moss a freak of nature who will catch anything that comes his way isn't being thrown the ball you have a big problem! Had we drafted Leinart or Cuttler we could have had a QB for the future but a big disappointment was not bringing Culpepper or Brees when we had the chance. Im very optamistic about our young fast secondary. the biggest problem is our front line with the exception of Derrick Burgess the NFL leader in sacks, everyone else on that line is getting very old and inaffective. With the drafting of Howard and the safety turn LB I can see a solid but not great LB squad for this year. Overall the Raiders will end up winning mabey 8 games and missing the playoffs but if Moss puts up a season that he had back in 03 you will see us making the wild card ang going 10-6!
