Well i think its fairly foolish of them, i mean your average jrpg player is most likely going to be a sony owner. I also think that when some of these titles dont do so well on the 360 they will be ported.jmig556

If you look at this from a worldwide standpoint, the main reason that the average jrpg player would be a sony owner would be because during the PS1 and PS2 eras, the only system you could really find jrpgs on was a Sony system. The Playstation brand was the RPG king by default. If we focus mostly on Japan, then yeah, things are different. But everywhere else, if someone is a fan of RPGs and has no console loyalty, then it won't matter. Plus, besides Star Ocean, these games are mostly new franchises in a niche market. There are few JRPGs that reach the level of FF and Dragon Quest, whether they land on PS consoles or not.

You know, a lot of people here seemed to be pissed off at Micro and SE for this current situation and lack of RPGs for the PS3. But did anyone even take the time to think that maybe....just maybe....Sony is the one to actually blaim for the RPG drought? Who knows what the problem is. But I'm sure its not as cut and dry as it seems. There are probably many factors involved. Either way, I own both consoles, so I win no matter what.

360 is definitely a great gaming system. There are plenty of games across every genre, and it shouldn't be hard for you to find something you like. Just be warned that the 360 does have history of having faulty hardware. That is a risk that you will be taking when you buy one. However, if you understand this, you'll definitely be able to get some good gaming out of the console regardless. For the most part, just keep it in an area with some room to breathe and try not to leave running for long hours of non-playing time. Probably wouldn't be a good idea to have it standing vertical either. The most notorious problem is the RROD, but that particular problem is covered for 3 years from your purchase date if it happens. By the time that warrenty runs out, new consoles will probably be on the market. So game and have fun.

Um, Tekken: Dark Resurrection is the best Handheld fighter (and one of the best fighters period) ever made. It is followed by Street Fighter Alpha 3 for the PSP as well. As a matter of fact, the PSP seems like the perfect portable choice for Fighting games. Come on Capcom, how about a little Marvel vs. Capcom love the ol' psp huh?

Your decision definitely shouldn't be based on HDD size that's for sure. You can easily swap out each and stick in a bigger one whenever you want. If you have a lot of PS2 games and don't want to have to switch between the PS3 to PS2 to play them, then grab the 80 gig (or the 60 gig if you can find one. Its the best version, hands down.). I think the 80 gig still comes with a copy of the game Motorstorm, so for that extra 100 bucks, you get a 60 dollar game and PS2 BC. Not too bad.

The 40 gig is a good deal if you only care about PS3 games. Its a good starting point.

Yes, you should definitely get into online gaming, especially on the PS3 where it will cost you nothing to play online with friends (considering you have high speed net access). In the future, definitely look into buying an HDTV. You can get some descent one's for under 500 bucks depending on the size you want. An HDTv is imperitive to really take advantage of these next gen consoles.

Yes, having both is better than having just one.

Those aren't really good reasons for selling your PS3. Your experience won't be any better on another console either. Live has more players, but if you thought the PSN community was bad, then you haven't seen anything yet. Not to mention that Live isn't free to play. My suggestion to you is to either man (or woman)-up and keep going or to just stop playing online altogether.

I've given Halo 3 a break to play Call of Duty, but I still love some Halo, and will get back to it eventually.

That is why I'm thinking of passing up on this game because of the combat system.... the pausing.... select weapon, shoot.... pause after finishing that mofo.... choose something else in the menu to kill the guy coming at me.... shoot.... pause again.... fall asleep.....etc. I'll learn more when the game is releasedand when I have read the previews in the forums.

Reading previews wont' help you much here. The only way to really get an understanding of how this system works is to have some hands on time with it. I suggest playing KOTOR first if you've never played a Bioware console game. The combat in Mass Effect should be similar to KOTOR's so you should be able to get a general idea of what you'll be in for. Pausing to make changes may look boring, but when you are actually doing it yourself, managing your character and your teamates actions, its more of a breather session as it can be a little hectic when you come up against strong enemies.
