Agreed..but anyway, you have what you need and its no hassle to quickly change the optical cable.

Enjoy it, cheers.

Well, I live in Europe, so I'm not sure what a FIOS box is. I am assuming its a digital cable receiver of some sort for TV viewing.

If this is true, then yeah. This is where you are short. My sound system (Panny 560 EG-k) has only one optical input. So I need to replug the cable to switch between PS3 and 360.

If you want to avoid this, I would use HDMI from the FIOS box to the TV, then use another optical cable FROM the TV to a optical splitter. Either way, you will have to make some manual switch over to get 2 optical signals into the Panny sound system.

I have "almost" the same setup. I bought the 46" Samsung 6 series and already have a similar Panasonic model. Expecting the TV next week. I too have an older 360 model with no HDMI.

As someone already mentioned, you have the things you need. Connect your 360 to the sound system via a optical toslink cable (there's your surround sound) and use the component cables to connect the 360 to the TV (There's your video). Component (not composite) splits the video into three (red, blue, green) separate video signals so provided you set your xbox TV settings correctly and the HDTV slider button on the cable itself to HDTV, you will have a 1080p video to make the Sammy happy. (You will barely see any difference compared to an HDMI cable.)

Connect the DVD system to the TV via a HDMI cable and your good to go. Ports to spare...

Sticking within 'Xbox scene' and not just within 360, I would agree on Chronicles of Riddick.
