Hello people,

For those who don't know me i am a video game collector of sorts. Everything you see in my game lists and ratings here on gamepot are up to date everyday. Now as far as a collector goes, I have a few guidelines I follow. I don't just try to collect billions of games.

1) Every game I have or get I will sooner or later play them and if I don't like it I will get rid of it, but I like lots of different games so if it has any value I will keep it

2) I get every game complete (game, manuel, artwork, case) but for some platforms this can be hard like the NES, SNES, N64, Genesis. Also in the best condition possible. (Buying used sucks sometimes because people don't know how to take care of their games).

3) I only get the original games. Non of this greatest hits, platinum hits bulls***. Companies lose my money when they decide to make a game a greatest hit because I will not buy it.

4) If I like just one game in a series I get every game in that series. For ex. Call Of Duty, I don't really like Finest Hour But love most the others.

5) I also get games for the same platforms they either started on or work best for. For ex. Guitar Hero started on playstation so I get every game for a playstation platform no matter what. I may have it for another platform (like xbox 360) but will always have it for the original. The only exception obviously would be for instance Guitar Hero: On Tour was only made for the DS so I still get it.

6) Games that fall into a certain genre are sorted like this: I get all action sports games (Skateboarding, Snowboarding, etc.) for the playstation platform. I get shooting games for the xbox platform. There are others but you get the point.

7) I personally don't consider the PC on the exact same level as the consoles for a few reasons. The game boxes are always different and don't have the same platform logo on them which as a collector sucks! I get game series that start on the PC (like normal) but if a sequel comes to a console I get them for both the PC and that certain console. For ex. Far Cry.

There are possibly other guidelines but I can't think of any others right now. :D
