missed my 1 year anniversary of being a member of cnet

well i will be getting on more often. personal problems kept me away a while but im back for a little bit.

i've gotten new cl@sses at school this semester and i HATE my typing ****with a passion. the teachers a royal b*tch. i haven't improved in weightlifting the past couple of months, but i guess the further you push the limits, the harder it'll be do pushem further.i'm not joining drill team right now, if ever i might when i get my license which is mere months away (course i still don't have a permit).

oh yeah, one more thing: hi how are ya?

finally got a laptop

and its even better than the one i was expecting to get.

yesterday i went to the pecan festival here in colfax la. it wasnt as packed as it usually is, so the lines to the rides were shorter than usual also. i had a little fun, but i hate to see it go. i'll be watching the fireworks tonight if they have them.

and more happy news i should be joining drill team next semester!

my life - updates

good news i should be getting the laptop this weekend. and i also ran the mile in 8 minutes flat. that beats my other times by over a minute. my bench max is officially 150 lbs once again and im aiming higher.

some bad news however, i won't be able to join drill team (explanation at the end of blog) for a while, which means i won't be as good as everyone else.

I FINALLY GOT THE TOURNESOL AND WYRMHERO BLADE IN FF12!!! those are like the biggest accomplishments ever. now i have THE 3 most powerful weapons in the game. unfortunately, i have slayed all the difficult monsters, so theres not much to use them on. another note of bad fortune, i accidentally saved over my DCHLB challenge file which was over halfway done. i've come a little ways in my 122333 challenge. more than i expected to for sure.

now for those who don't know, there are high schools with JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) programs where you march like in the army and learn stuff about military life. there is an extracurricular thing you can join called the drill team if you're in ROTC. its much more advanced than just marching. you have have to learn how to handle rifles and twirl them and stuff in perfect unison. in fact our high school has one of the top drill teams in the nation. i cant wait to join.

ok that's it im PO'd

i finally got my internet working, then something went wrong with it AGAIN! it'll be awhile till im able to get on every day or so. gustav really threw me off. our electricity was out for a long while. thank god ike didn't do damage to us. from now on i should at least be on on weekends. schoolworks been killer since i hit high school, and it won't be getting better for a long time.

uh oh its gustav!

i know i havent been on in a while and thats cuz someone was screwing with the cords on our internet router :|

on a sad note, i probably won't be on very much longer, because as of right now i'm experiencing unfriendly weather outside thats coming from hurricane gustav. and it isn't even close to me yet! unfortunately im smack in the middle of it's predicted path (just my luck, go figure) but at least im in the northern part of la and not in new orleans. speaking of that, we have evacuees coming to stay in my high school. but if the hurricane hits us hard enough, it won't really matter.

now on a happy note, i have discovered the major AWESOMENESS of final fantasy 12. i have already completed it (also defeating yiazmat) and now i'm doing a DCHLB (dual character half license board) challenge. i started a 122333 challenge (where you don't level anyone up), got to the stilshrine of miriam and got too bored. i'll continue it one day, though.

on an in between note, my bench has lowered to 135. that was without warming up though, so im guessing my max is 145. i need to stop slacking and start hitting the weights more often!

im gonna start spending time on the other cnet sites

gamespot itself is getting a bit boring. OT topics are repetitive and i'd like to try something new. i'll still be on gamespot, but i'll be busy other places too such as movietome, mp3.com, and tv.com. i might check out the other 2 also but they seem to be just other gaming sites.

well i have learned a valuable lesson...

well earlier today, i hit a milestone with squatting. i did 135, 155, 165, 175, 185, 195, 205, 215.

i even did 195 for 6 reps! then just a while ago, i jumped into 195 without a warmup or anything, and didnt get one rep in. of course im at home, so i dont have a spotter, and i had to let the weight drop off my back. it went well, but my little finger got stuck somewhere in the action and it ripped a lot of skin off of it. well i know now: always warm up.
