@d1versify valid points, I concede LOL. PC gaming is not for get togethers, I would beat somebody for spilling brew on my PC. Thus, I continue to buy consoles for the reasons you mentioned.... but it pains me, does it not hurt anyone else either? I feel like as they get more expensive, and still only serve simple purposes, it's getting more and more aimless as far as spending the money goes...
@d1versify LOL I agree to that, but I counter that problem with an XBOX/PC controller, and play on my 47". I think console is really just an easier way for people to enjoy games alone. Personally I have found that ability in my PCs, so there's no need for someone like me to buy these consoles, plus, upgrading a PC every 3 years for a few hundred is about the same as paying $600 every 5-6 years on a console, so i figure might as well...
@d1versify I agree to disagree, a console IMO is just for people who want an easier way to play games (I'm not hating, I also buy ALL consoles). a PC powerful enough to play all those games is actually not as expensive as you think, and can be built within the same price range as a console. What disappoints me about both consoles in this "next gen" is that both seem very gimmicky and seem weak spec'd compared to my already beastly PC's (even my micro PC that fits anywhere in the living room), so for someone like me who already owns High-end PCs, these consoles are basically a waste of money.
Well said. Still, I agree with Yerli, maybe not on 60% being graphics, but as he said "art direction" and all the other attributes. And yes like others I love better looking real-world graphics. Visuals do have the biggest impact on immersion of a story driven game or world, so it is important too.
I agree, Conviction was the best, in my own opinion, and Chaos Theory right next to it. Pandora Tomorrow kinda sucked IMO. Regardless of opinion, I still have all my old games, I've been a follower of SC since it's inception.
yeah I'm pretty happy with the direction they are going with SC, Conviction was an amazing game, so were the first, but the latest direction is much more action packed and makes Sam more lethal. That's how it SHOULD be.. Sure Mark n Execute makes it easy, and Killing in Motion, but again how it should be for someone like Sam. There were moments in the old games where I would often ask "why the F**K cant he just go all Jason Bourne and easily take these 3 guys out fast?". just my opinion. That said, game looks awesome, can't wait.
@gufberg @sribz yeah, I guess, it's somewhat of a double edged sword for me. Love the business, love gaming, but I feel like maybe it's not all something I should be proud of or consumed with after all these years. This is just me, and my own opinion of course.
@The__Kraken AGREED, sorry, I don't consider it sport, maybe because I see it more as entertainment/ a guilty pleasure. I am a PC and Console gamer from the days of old. LOL. Congrats to the Swedish gamer tho, as long as you get paid and u are happy with what you do, who gives a f***
@godzillavskong yes actually, that is also a good point, I have had 4 RRoD on my systems (3 different units - my 2 and my bro's i got for him), and all were after warranty, M$ repaired them all for free.... so maybe people arent making a big enugh stink to the service on the phone?
