Yes i know what you mean i bought my PS3 on day one in Europe and till August/Okt it was so silent!

Then for some reason my PS3 started to become like a vacuum for some reason.
And i mean i could hear it during games/movies especially movies!

I first thought well it might be getting a bit warm or something so i cleared a bit around it.
But no nothing changed eventually it got so annoying, That in January i decided to send it back while i still can.
(Crossing fingers) that they fix it or give me a good Refurbished PS3

Its seems like some people get this problem, allot try to will give you answers like :

No its not true FANBOY! POINT POINT POINT
Or turn you Dolby surround / sound louder or something (I do and I can still hear it unless i want to go deaf)
Or the most common one people lie about how silent it is (Also not true because my PS3 used to be silent).

I witnessed my PS3 from silent to going Very annoying loud and no one can tell me this is normal or should happen.
So to topic creater yes I Believe You how cheesy that may sound...

I just wish Sony would confirm this problem but i guess loud fan sound's
(so loud you cant watch a DVD without having you're neighbours coming by to make you turn you're sound down.)
Isnt bad enough for customers to complain about.

You sent a working PS3 back because of fan noise? Was it really that loud? I'm surpised it was even working then.

Yeah I know it sounds weird but i can assure you it is very loud...
I bought my Ps3 on launch day and one of my good friends was at my place testing it out we both where amazed that it was so quiet.

That same friend later bought a 40GB ps3 and got you're problem the disc reading error which seems to occur allot lately.
But when he got his new one we compared the sound and my Ps3 would clearly have won the first prize on making noise :(.

Oh BTW i think because America has the 80GB model i think they just switch the hard drive and that's why they haven't run out on well 1.5 BC Ps3's. Since it mainly is the same console except for the HDD right?

But in Europe it seems we just don't have any... And that's why they rely on just refurbishing the broken ones.
I really hope that if i do get one it will work and look clean.
I don't mind if they take an old one apart and refurbish it but getting a half baked Ps3 with an ugly make over is something i cant accept. Since i have kept my original one in pristine shape except for the damn loud noise.

Yes i am kind off a neat freak when it comes to my PlayStation's XD.

Oke i don't know if anyone has asked this question lately but here it goes.

On the 23Th of march 2007 i came to pick up my Ps3. until august i didn't have a problem and then IT happened!
All of a sudden the sound my Ps3 was producing during games/DVD/blue-ray or idle.
You know when you just have you're Ps3 on so you can play a game after that one comedy show :).
Well at first i just let it past i gave it more space and opened my second window.
Nothing helped Now i called Sony (in Holland I'm dutch BTW.) and they just suggested me to send it back okidoki i said.
Now after searching sites and seeing allot off current complaint since December im wondering should i have send it back or not....

Oke here is the current situation :

1. According to allot of people the 60GB Ps3 people are getting are ghetto second hand Ps3's that where repaired...
This is according to the dutch community i am wondering is this also in the rest of Europe yes you to UK?
and also all you Americans/Canadians and any other region i have missed having this.

2. Is this problem i had with my Ps3 a known thing or is it just me that all of a sudden after about 5 months noticing my Ps3 turned into an airport.

3. I rather have my Old ps3 with loud noise back then someone else his Ps3 with ugly finger prints some snot on it etc.
(at least that is what i am hearing from reports about returned Ps3's) so anyone know if i could request to just wait for my original one to be repaired?

4. And last i was wondering couldn't Sony use the 80GB as a backup Ps3 in Europe since its the same and the 60GB in Europe?
Since they both use emulators and if so anyone know why they aren't doing that O_o.

ok i need someone to please brief me on the following points of Metal Gear Solid.

I have finished and own MGS2 and 3 and I'm getting 4.

1. Why are there so many snakes ( solid, liquid, naked, etc)

2. What is Foxdie?

3. How come ocelot is liquid snake in part 4?

4. What happened to the patriots, i've heard so many stories from MGS2 and 3

5. Where the hell did Raided come from, who is he isn't the whole focus of MGS meant to be snake?

I Just got a Wii but since i wanst expecting it and never realy checked for games because i was gonna wait with buying one.
I have no clue what to get imto action, fps, hack&slashy games etc.
Ill probly wont like racing games since i rather do that on my other consoles with a normal steering weel.

I was wondering if you experienced Wii guys have any good games in mind wich could show me a verry good time :).
Also games wich have fun Co-up or something so my friends can join in would be cool to.

But as i said i still occasionaly play GeoW and Crackdown (The other 12 games i bought i will probaly put on E-bay or something soon.) but again to Point out this is a celebrating post for my Ps3 and pizza and I'ts not about wich console is better cause its about the games man and pizza and BEER!....

So Feed youre Ps3 pizza and keep the beer cause otherwise you might get a blury screen and Enjoy whatever floats you're boat.
